I am a pre-service teacher from VIU. I
am thrilled to be working in _____'s
class for 9 weeks this fall.
My Teaching Philosophy
I believe it is my job as a teacher to make sure the
students in my room are safe and comfortable. Once
they are they will hopefully feel ready to take risks, which,
while scary, can be where the most valuable learning
happens.
About me
CHILDHOOD
I was born and raised in Ucluelet. I spent my time
playing soccer, biking, and enjoying time outdoors in
this beautiful part of the world!

I don't only want to meet the students who walk into my
room where they're at, but help them imagine who they
want to be when they leave and give the the tools they
need to achieve this.
I’m excited to include the passions of my students in their
learning and shape our classroom to fit their needs
Above all else I hope that all the students that come into
my class know that they matter and that once they
become my students, they will always be my students.
EXPERIENCE
I worked for three years at the YMCA camp, Camp
Thunderbird. Here I worked with campers aged 5-15. I
also volunteer at UVic's sexual assult center
facilitating workshops and doing one-on-one
support.
EDUCATION
Prior to enrolling in the Education department at VIU I
earned a BA from UVic with a major in Geography
and a minor in Gender Studies.
