(a) When an ignition key is inserted into the ignition cylinder, the key code (immobiliser code)
registration is performed automatically.
• For European models: In this mode, a maximum of 2 key codes, for 2 master keys, can be
registered because the transponder key ECU can distinguish between the types of keys.
• For except European models: In this mode, a maximum of 3 key codes, for 2 master keys
and 1 sub-key, can be registered because the transponder key ECU can distinguish
between the types of keys.
HINT:
• When a new transponder key ECU is installed, the key codes (immobiliser codes) of the
ignition keys must be registered.
• New transponder key ECUs are automatically set to automatic key code registration mode.

ENTRY & START SYSTEM
1. DESCRIPTION OF CODE REGISTRATION
HINT:
• ID code is the same as recognition codes for the wireless transmitter and the engine immobiliser
function. Registering an ID code enables the entry & start system, the wireless door lock control
function and the engine immobiliser function to be operated.
• Code registration is necessary when the certification ECU, ID code box, steering lock ECU, or
key is replaced with a new one.
