Ayahuasca

 Plant  Diet  Food  Recommendations


In  order  to  facilitate  an  optimal  experience  in  your  work  with  the  plants,  the  shaman  recommend  a  
specific  kind  of  diet  to  be  followed  10  days  prior  to,  during  and  10  days  after  the  completion  of  your  
plant  medicine  experience.    Here  are  a  listing  of  types  of  foods  and  activities  to  include  and  to  avoid.

Foods  to  Minimize: Activities  to  Participate  in:


-­‐ salt  (use  sea  salt  when  needed) -­‐ Reading  or  experiencing  
-­‐ fried/fatty  foods  and  dense  fats  such  as  lard things  of  an  inspirational  or  
-­‐ peanuts positive  nature
-­‐ dairy -­‐ Journaling
-­‐ over-­‐ripe  fruits  and  vegetables -­‐ Meditation,  yoga  and  
-­‐ processed  foods  (minimize  wheat  and  gluten) practices  bringing  you  more  
-­‐ sugar  and  sweets  (use  agave  or  xylitol  minimally  if  needed) into  presence  in  your  body  
and  ones  that  allow  you  to  
Foods  to  Avoid: observe  your  mind  and  body.
Foods  that  contain  tryptophan  or  tyramine  or  other  ingredients  
that  don’t  work  well  in  conjunction  with  ayahuasca  such  as... Activities  to  Avoid:
-­‐  pork -­‐ Any  type  of  sexual  contact  
-­‐  smoked,  fermented  or  pickled  foods including  masturbation
-­‐  miso,  vinegar,  sauerkraut -­‐ Watching  or  reading  about  
-­‐  yeast violence  or  trauma
-­‐  caffeine -­‐ Use  the  opportunity  of  this  
-­‐  artificial  sweeteners  such  as  aspartame diet  to  reduce  activities  where  
-­‐  spicy  foods you  have  any  addictive  
-­‐  hot  peppers patterns  
-­‐  aged  cheese -­‐ Use  of  alcohol  or  illicit  drugs,  
over-­‐the-­‐counter  or  
Foods  to  eat: prescription  medication  not  
-­‐  fresh  organic  vegetables  and  fruits  wherever  possible completely  necessary.  You  can
