A computer system consists of two main components Hardware and
Software.

↦Hardware↤
The physical components of a computer system that we can see and touch
are called Hardware.

Input Devices -
“Input Devices” accept input from the user and convert it into a form that the
computer can understand.

Bar code Reader -

Barcode reader is an optical scanner that can read printed barcodes, decode
the data contained in the barcode and send the data to a computer. Like a
flatbed scanner, it consists of a light source, a lens and a light sensor
translating for optical impulses into electrical signals.
Magnetic Ink Character Reader (MICR)
Magnetic ink character recognition code, known in short as MICR code, is a
character recognition technology used mainly by the banking industry to
streamline the processing and clearance of cheques and other documents.

Optical Character Reader (OCR)

Optical character recognition or optical character reader is the electronic or
mechanical conversion of images of typed, handwritten or printed text into
machine-encoded text, whether from a scanned document, a photo of a
document, a scene-photo or from subtitle text superimposed on an image.
Optical Mark Reader (OMR)
Optical mark recognition is the process of capturing human-marked data
from document forms such as surveys and tests. They are used to read
questionnaires, multiple choice examination papers in the form of shaded
areas.

Card Reader
A card reader is a data input device that reads data from a card-shaped
storage medium. The first were punched card readers, which read the paper
or cardboard punched cards that were used during the first several decades
of the computer industry to store information and programs for computer
systems.
↜Software↝
Software is a collection of instructions and data that tell a computer how to
work. This is in contrast to hardware, from which the system is built and
actually performs the work. In computer science and software engineering,
software is all information processed by computer systems, including
programs and data.

Operating Systems
An operating system is system software that manages computer hardware,
software resources, and provides common services for computer programs.

Antivirus
Antivirus software, or antivirus software, also known as anti-malware, is a
computer program used to prevent, detect, and remove malware. Antivirus
software was originally developed to detect and remove computer viruses,
hence the name.
General Purpose Software
General purpose software is software that can be used for a variety of tasks.
General purpose software includes office applications, such as presentation software
and word processing software. Special purpose software is software that can only be
used for one particular task.
