RECOMMENDATION:

This term paper entitled “The Islamic Culture and Civilization of

Somalia” needs the following recommendation as follows.

1. Education; strengthen capacity of community groups to support

education programs.

2. Education; increase enrollment and retention of school age children

from target groups.

3. Education; enhance capacity of government to develop and implement

a non-formal education policy and strategy.

4. Politics; expands access to justice by supporting effective mechanisms

to resolve grievances and feelings of injustice - addressing one of the

primary drivers of violent extremism in Somalia.

5. Politics; Transition Initiatives for Stabilization reduces the conditions

that allow violent extremist groups to thrive.

6. Politic; Office of Transition Initiatives, Somalia Stabilization Initiative

minimizes the conditions that enable violent extremist groups to

destabilize Somalia.

7. Economics; Improve the business environment through access to

finance and support to policy and regulation.

8. Economics; Increase participation of women and youth in the

economy as employers, employees and entrepreneurs.

9. Economics; Promote enterprise development through business

development services.
10. Social; arranged marriage should be discourage to avoid divorce

in the future.

11. Social; living with extended families should not be the norm. it

is recommended that when having a family of your own, you should

not leave with your in-laws or parents rather leave with your own.

12. Social; marrying age should be at age 18 above and not below,

in order for couple to be more mature and ready for the marriage life.
