GUIDELINES FOR THE CONDUCT OF SSC ELECTION

1. COMPOSITION OF THE ELECTORAL BOARD

The Electoral Board shall be composed of the following:

1.1. Chairperson for Student Development Services (SDS) as chairperson;

1.2. Two members of the faculty who will be designated by the SDS Chairperson as
members; and

1.3. Two students with unquestionable integrity from any accredited organization and to
be appointed by the Electoral Board.

2. POWERS OF THE ELECTORAL BOARD

21. Receives the Certificates for Candidacy and pass upon qualifications of candidates;

2.2 The Electoral Board is responsible for enforcing the rules and regulations governing
the college elections.

2.2. Declares the winning candidates after the counting of ballots; any decision order,
award, or proclamation of the electoral board is deemed final, executor and non-
appealable.

3. POLICIES AND GUIDELINES

3.1. Basic criteria that must be met by candidates

a. He/She must be a regular student with at least 15 minimum load this semester.

b. For President and Vice President, he/she must be a third year, fourth year or fifth
year; provided he/she has NO subject in On-the-Job Training/Internships, and
Practice Teaching in the next semester.

c. He/She must have at least a general average of 2.50 during the last semester
preceding or prior to the filing of his/her candidacy. He/She must have no
scholastic delinquencies such as FAILED, INC, or NFE.

d. All INC and NFE grades must be completed prior to the filing of candidacy.

e. For transferees from other schools, they must have at least two (2) consecutive
semesters of residency.

3.2. Rules and Procedures of Election are as follows:

a. Due to this pandemic, the Application/Certificate of Candidacy will be uploaded to

the College’s FB Page, Student Services Hub, and Earthline Page. Fill-up the
form properly and submit it to the same hub. Also, attach your Party Platform (for
those with party).

b. Party line-up should include names of candidates. The following are the positions:

 President
 Vice-President
 Executive Secretary
 Treasurer
 PRO
 Auditor
 Senators (4)
 Representatives (1 from each college)

c. Student candidates with no party-line up may run as an independent candidate.

3.3. Deadline of Filing of Certificate for Candidacy

The filing of Certificate for Candidacy will start on September 24 until

September 29, 2021, only.

3.4 Campaign Period

The campaign period shall commence upon filing of Certificate for Candidacy until
October 3, 2021.

Election campaign materials can be uploaded in the College’s FB Page, Student

Services Hub, Earthline Page, and or your personal timeline.

Every candidate must always endeavour to conduct peaceful, honest and clean
election campaigns and related activities during the prescribed campaign period.

3.5 Manner of Election

a. The manner of election shall be ONLINE.

b. The Electoral Board will upload the link where you will vote in the same links
where you downloaded the Application/Certificate of Candidacy.

3.6 Election Proper

a. The online voting will be on OCTOBER 4, 2021, from 8AM to 4PM, only.

b. Winners will be announced immediately after the counting by the Electoral Board.
