Title: MALITBOG NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL SSG ELECTION
Date: FEBRUARY 14, 2020

Venue: Malitbog NHS

Participant’s Teachers, Students, SSG Commission on Election committee.


Description: Where Students practice their rights to Vote and choose the kind of leaders they want.
ACTIVITY:
Description/ Pursuant to Department of Education (DepEd) Order No. 47, s. 2014 entitled
Rationale: “Constitution and By-Laws of the Supreme Pupil Government (SPG) and Supreme
Student Governments (SSG) in Elementary and Secondary Schools” and DepEd Order
No. 11, s. 2016 entitled “Additional Guidelines to DepEd Order No. 47 s. 2014”, the
following activities was conducted and observe during the elections for the SSG
officers for School Year 2020-2021 of Malitbog National High School

 Filing of Candidacy
 Evaluation of Certificate of Candidacy (COC) vis-a-vis Qualifications and
Disqualifications
 Announcement of the Official List of Candidates
 Campaign Period
– Presidential Election Forum
– Campus-wide Presidential and Vice Presidential Debates
 Elections
 Proclamation of Winner
 Nomination of SPG Adviser
 Oath taking Ceremony

Objectives:  Help students develop passionate love of country, values, and competencies that
will enable them to realize their full potential and to contribute meaningfully to
the nation.
 To develop a student-friendly, safe, and motivating learning environment
 To represent the students in policy-making body of the school concerning the
student’s rights and welfare.
 To nurture an inclusive, service-oriented, gender-sensitive, and environment
conscious community.
 To develop self-confidence, critical thinking, problem-solving, decisionmaking,
and learning among the student body and to utilize these skills in contributing
towards nation-building.
 To empower the students to strive for excellence in academics, leadership, and
social responsibility, to encourage them to be proactive members of the society.
 To uphold the values, principles, and ideals of the Department of Education
 To serve, to protect, and to promote the rights and welfare of every students

Activities:  Activities (Faci litated by the SSG COMELEC)
– Filing of Candidacy February 3, 2020 the candidates filled up an
application form and submit all requirments for evaluation
 Evaluation of Certificate of Candidacy (COC) vis -a-vis Qualifications and
Disqualifications February 5, 2020
– Our assigned SSG commission on Election Committee was
Miss. Donna Oben, SST -1 an Aral -Pan Teacher. She evaluated all
the COC and requirments that submitted by the applying
candidate, during her evaluatio n she detected a disqualified
candidate because of low grades that does not meet the standard
requirments.

February 6, 2020
– On the next day o ur chairwoman Miss Oben announces the name
of the candidates by partys she posted their names in o ur
teachers Group chat and at school bulletin board.

February 12 -13, 202 0
– Both parties are given enough time to do their cam paigns and
explain their platform room to room.
– On the seco nd day the commelec chair conduct a meeting de
avance for presidential election forum fallo wed by a debate and
give their insights to solve some issues.
 Elections
February 14, 2020
– Election day, all students are excited to vote , we start at 8:00 am
and ended 5:00pm. After counting all the ballot per precinct
proclamatio n of winners is conducted.
