NARRATIVE REPORT
SY: 2022-2023
I. Introduction:

Student leadership is an essential component of academic success. The ability of

the student body to influence major decisions about the quality of education and learning

environment is referred to as student leadership. Influencing major decisions necessitates

"listening," "valuing," and incorporating the ideas proposed by students. The Supreme

Pupil Government is a student body that allows elementary students to hone their

leadership and social skills. Officers of this organization serve as school leaders. They

can achieve their goals and help the school achieve more of its goals if they work

together.

In connection with this, Emilio Jose Sr. Elementary School intends to develop

students' leadership skills. To fully grasp the concept of democracy and leadership, the

school held SPG Elections to select the new set of officers for the school year 2022-2023.

II. SPG Election Timeline:

In order for the conduct of election to run smoothly, we followed the schedule of

activities given by the District and Division Office.

 ACTIVITY DATE

Homeroom Class Organization August 22-26, 2022

Election

Filing of Candidacy or COC August 26- August 29, 2022

(for School-Based SPG ELECTION)

The candidates for election were given
the time to fill out the candidacy forms
and to accomplish the parents’ consent
and have them signed by their parents,
respectively.
The candidates were divided into two
parties with each having one teacher as
their campaign adviser

Evaluation of COC vis-à-vis August 30- September1, 2022

Qualifications & Disqualifications
The assigned members of the
Commission on Elections
( COMELEC ) thoroughly examined
and evaluated the documents submitted
by the candidates.

Announcement of September 2, 2022

Official List of Candidates
The COMELEC announced to the
pupils the official list of candidates for
the upcoming SPG Elections. In
connection with this, the COMELEC
posted the official list of the candidates
for information dissemination and
reference for the pupils.

Campaign Period September 3-5, 2022

The parties were given days to
campaign to the pupils. They were
given enough amount of time to convey
their general action plan to the different
grade levels. The COMELEC also
organized the schedule for their room
to room campaign, as to not cause any
disturbances to the schedule of classes.
Also, the COMELEC facilitated the
campus wide presidential/vice
presidential debate.

Synchronized Election by Municipality September 7, 2022

The district of Kiblawan South was
scheduled to conduct the election on
February 14, 2020.
The COMELEC facilitated the election.
Ballots were distributed to the pupils
and afterwards, kept inside the ballot
box for secrecy.

Proclamation of Winners September 7, 2022

The winners of the synchronized school
based SPG elections conducted at that
very day were announced right after
the actual counting of votes.
III. Findings and Recommendations

The conduct of the Supreme Pupil Government Elections in the different schools of
Kiblawan South was deemed smooth and orderly. The Kiblawan South schools followed
the schedule given by the division office to fully provide the pupils the concept of
election and choosing of leaders.

The Supreme Pupil Government Elected Officials shall perform the duties and
responsibilities that come with their respective positions. By doing so, the pupil-leaders
shall develop their social and leadership abilities that can be of great help for them in
becoming good citizens of this nation.
