TRAINING

"One reason so few of us achieves what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never
concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master
anything in particular."
- Tony Robbins

When you are adept at managing your time, everyone may select how much time to devote
to each task. Your ability to manage your time effectively will determine how effective you are at
work. Time management education improves how people carry out their regular tasks. People who
receive regular training gradually become better at handling their responsibilities. They become
more proactive and effective, and their tasks are finished on schedule.

We must align our knowledge, abilities, beliefs, and talents to keep up with these
advancements in the constantly evolving technologies, workplace, and strategies of today. One of
the best ways to increase knowledge and skills is through training. It is also essential since it
enables one to broaden their knowledge base and improve their job performance, making them
more productive at work and, if done consistently, yielding a sizable return on investment.

Leaders that uphold honesty get the respect of their subordinates. They defend their
principles and aren't scared to speak the truth. In turn, this leads in existing clients, more
revenues, and a healthier environment for everyone.

The Department of Education promotes Project W.A.T.C.H program advocating Time

Consciousness and Honesty. Emilio Jose Sr. Elementary School in Kiblawan South District,
Division of Davao del Sur is one of the schools advocating Time Consciousness and Honesty
through implementing different activities, projects and programs and we are very glad to be one of
it. To promote and support the implementation of project W.A.T.C.H program, the school has
divided the teachers into four core groups which are the Curriculum and Instruction, Advocacy,
Training and Monitoring and Evaluation. The goal of these core groups are to documents all the
needs, project and accomplishment of the program’s implemented. In Training, Mr. Lyndon A.
Quines- School Head, Richie S. Macasarte-Kindergarten Teacher, Jay Mark del Rosario-Grade I
Teacher, Remedios C. Cayaban- Grade II Teacher, Rosario T. Goles- Grade III Teacher, Alice S.
Planas- Grade IV Teacher and Anngiley D. Banga-Grade V-VI Teacher, are the in-charge of the
said activity. They facilitated and documented all the trainings and workshops relation to the
implementation of the program.
The school conducted various trainings and workshops for the teachers, parents and
learners.
First, is to Arrange School Based Training and Orientation to teachers on Project
W.A.T.C.H headed by Lyndon A. Quines, aiming to strengthen the value of punctuality and
honesty towards a living legacy to the students, teachers, and stakeholders to engaged and be
informed about the said program.
Secondly, after the training and workshops, all teachers who are assigned in every Purok
also disseminated and gathered information from parents to promote and practice the program
implemented.
Lastly, Anngiley D. Banga conducted a Learning Action Cell session to enable teachers to
do collaborative planning, problem solving, and action implementation connected to the program.
Moreover, to implement and exercise well the program, the school conducted a quarterly
meeting with the Techinical Working Group headed by Merlita C. Carreon together with the other
members of the group (name of teachers) and also with the WATCH CLUB Officers (name of
learners) and together with WATCH Advocates Group where Anngiley D. Banga, (member).

Furthermore, the Technical Working Group gathered the training materials' supporting
documentation in order to standardize the project W.A.T.C. H.'s quality. The training records may
be required as part of a quality or internal management system. The effectiveness of a training
program can be assessed using training records. These are the training materials we compiled
following the training course. The Training Activity Plan is one of these; it is a system analysis and
design that includes many various kinds of activities. The Time Frame, Session Objectives,
Activities or Session, Expected Outputs, Topic, Methodology, Person Responsible, and Other
Itemized Resources Needed are all included. The attendance sheet is another. Monitoring the
participants' participation in the activity is a crucial component of the trainings.

In order to comprehend its relevance and learn how the cycle of accountability flows,
integrity and honesty build to be accountable, the school also held trainings and seminars on the
importance of integrity and accountability in the workplace. Accountability encourages people to
exercise autonomy in the hopes of feeling more invested in the company and, as a result,
performing better, more efficiently, and more creatively because, even behind closed doors, a
person with integrity acts ethically and does the responsible thing. A person with integrity does not
have to fear retaliation for their honest opinions and ideas.
The conduct of the different In-Service Trainings to all teachers of Emilio Jose Sr.
Elementary School gave teachers the insights about the importance of having the integrity and
honesty in the work place. Integrity can take many different forms, but it primarily alludes towards
exhibiting decent and honest personality traits and work ethics, such as good judgment, honesty,
reliability, and loyalty.
The first In-Set focused on ways to make punctuality and honesty more important to
students, instructors, and other stakeholders as a living legacy. During the conduct of the first In-
Set, Doctor Lyndon A. Quines EdD, the School Head of Emilio Jose Sr. Elementary School give
emphasizes that having leader who perform ethically is one of the cornerstones to a successful
and effective workplace. Integrity in leaders is the quality of being sincere, dependable, and
trustworthy. Leaders with integrity own up to their mistakes rather than trying to cover them up,
place the blame on their team, or find an explanation. They behave in accordance with their
statements (i.e., they practice what they teach). Respecting one's coworkers and immediate
superiors as well as adhering to corporate policies and procedures are further aspects of having
integrity. It is crucial to keep in mind that a leader's actions have an impact on both their own
reputation and the reputation of the organization.
Integrity, on the other hand, entails a dedication to morals and upright principles.
Leadership is defined as the ability to manage a team of people. When in control of a group, a
trustworthy leader will work in the best interests of the members. One who abuses power and
lacks moral values is a lousy leader. Integrity is necessary for excellent leadership because strong
leaders uphold moral principles.
He said, however, that a good leader has admirable ideals. People who believe someone is
trustworthy will follow them. You must have a clear understanding of your destination and a
compelling mission statement to guide others. You must preserve a laser-like focus and
persevere. You must be passionate about what you do. Your goal should be your everything.
Respect and treating everyone equally, regardless of their station in life, status, or position on the
organizational hierarchy, are important virtues. If you want to be someone who other people will
follow and trust in you, you must have exceptional persuasion skills. People need to trust you and
respect your credibility. Image and public perception are everything.
People need to be persuaded of this; it does not merely happen. Nobody will have trust in
you if you don't. I hear leaders fearing that if they exhibit excessive confidence, people would
perceive them as conceited. People are genuinely interested in learning about your strengths and
weaknesses. One of the most effective skills is the ability to say, "I don't know." Clarity is further
crucial.
The second In-Set conducted for teachers was all about the importance of promoting and
practicing the programs implemented by the PROJECT WATCH. Promoting and practicing
integrity and punctuality at the working environment is something that is valued, since it helps to
create a welcoming and encouraging workplace. When staff members are aware that the
organization functions on the basis of core principles, they are at ease talking about ideas,
interacting with one another, and being authentic.
Credibility can only be established by honesty and integrity, which are the cornerstones of
trust. Businesses' credibility is the primary factor influencing customers and employees to stay as
they work to retain both.
One goal is common among all of humanity and that is a longing for success. Success is
only achieved through leadership in some form. Whether a person becomes a public leader in his
church, in his country, or simply a leader in his own life, it takes a leader to put in the effort to
achieve one's hopes and dreams. Leadership allows a person to acquire the means necessary to
meet a personal goal and ultimately reach this idea of success. However, possessing these
leadership skills is virtually impossible without integrity. Thus, integrity is the key component in
attaining the leadership skills needed to find success. First and foremost, one must become a
leader. Leadership is defined as the ability to obtain followers (Maxwell).

Integrity is the key component to gaining a substantial and true following. Through integrity,
one creates this image or reputation that embodies everything that person believes and intends to
spread to his followers. So, if one lives a life with integrity, becoming a leader will occur more
naturally. Integrity is the foundation of leadership in many ways. As Maxwell points out the
following points about integrity in leaders: integrity builds trust, has great influence, facilitates high
standards, creates a solid reputation, and produces credibility.
Showing people that a leader has integrity allow them to trust what he says because people
can trust his reputation, which is the foundation of his following. This trustworthiness engenders a
greater influence, which demands a higher standard as followers expect a certain level of integrity
in the topic of the leader's passion. Moreover, a cycle of integrity and strengthening reputation
builds credibility, as followers trust what a leader says because of his integrity, which only
reinforces his reputation as a trustworthy leader. Integrity is not always an easy task to maintain in
a leadership role, which makes it an accomplishment for any leader who establishes this trust with
his followers and maintains that credibility as well. It is evident that if integrity is the foundation of a
successful leader, integrity must be a focus for the leader and the leader must exhibit these traits if
he wants his followers to also exhibit integrity towards him.
Leadership is all about duties, responsibilities and commitment, while morality entails
instilling values for individuals to live and abide by. Moral leadership inspires and motivates people
to act and hold them accountable. When you see people fail to step up and provide purpose or
even do something that can give goodness to a more significant number of people, step up. Moral
leadership is subject to respect for ethical beliefs and values to preserve human dignity and their
respective rights (Ciulla, 2014). When discussing moral leadership, one must remember concepts
such as honesty, integrity, trust, fairness, charisma, and consideration. Ethical governance is
primal to building trust, inspiring colleagues, creating meaning, or helping individuals imagine a
better future. It enables people always to do the next right things.
The conduct of different In-Service Trainings for teachers aims to enhance their awareness
of moral leadership, what it entails, and various ethical leadership concepts. World leaders are
often celebrated based on their achievements and bravery. However, when it comes to moral
leadership, the ideas seem far-fetched. As such, it comes down to whether morality counts when it
comes to matters about administration? Numerous studies have concluded that moral leaders are
better equipped to execute their obligations than their amoral counterparts (Lemoine, Hartnell, &
Leroy, 2019). People seldom celebrate ethical leaders in the current world. Perhaps, most people
are accustomed to celebrating the wrong category of individuals. Great leaders, may it be in
organizations or countries, will always work hard to ensure that morality permeates all aspects of
their governance.
A strategic initiative is imperative or rather subject to the ethical and effective management
of projects. It is always hard to make a proper decision as every moral dilemma is subject to a
solution. The success of institutions is entirely dependent on a decision-making process that
involves moral dimension, ethics, and good governance. Three forms of moral leaders often
overlap, namely, ethical, servant, and honest. Ethical leaders tend always to refer and adhere to
norms and regulations. They reciprocate the prevailing institution norms, standards, and culture to
enact adherence to those standards among the individuals under their leadership. An ethical
leader represents a moral role model and suppresses activities aiming to promote corruption in an
institution, such as bribery and compromising classified information (Hannah, Avolio & Walumbwa,
2011). This form of leadership demands spearheading individuals into attending their respective
obligations to avoid scandals, lawsuits, bad public image, and embarrassing the institution. It is
expected that this form of leadership to a formidable bond that leads to mitigating harassment as
people are always acting in the right way. The wrong side is that ethical leaders may enact self-
gains regulations that other people might regard as offensive and immoral.

Servant leaders tend to be so much inclined to outcomes. Servant leaders concentrate on

how others get helped or harmed by their acts and often tend to spearhead institutions to perform
better in the best interests of the public wellness (Lemoine, Hartnell, & Leroy, 2019). Servant
leaders serve to take care of people. When it comes to business organizations, servant leaders
put their employees into consideration first while at the same time looking out for other
stakeholders, such as clients, shareholders, surrounding communities, vendors, among others.
When it comes to the nation’s servant leaders, they will always put the interest of their people first
and, at the same time, consider others. Servant leadership often faces the dilemma of balancing
all the stakeholders involved in their governance. When it comes to economists, the vast majority
of them would argue that any wealth spent on corporate social responsibility, ensuring the world’s
wellness, is inversely suppressing the shareholders’ and employees’ returns.
Authentic leadership is often intertwined with fairness, honesty, and wisdom. Authentic
leaders are highly aware of their strengths and weaknesses and always work hard to improve the
people they lead by helping them understand themselves (Lemoine, Hartnell, & Leroy, 2019).
Their decision-making process is subject to their moral compass, instead of other people’s
opinions of morality. Authentic leaders listen to other people’s views, but ultimately, they would not
primarily adhere to rules, or people’s expectations, or even what the majority would applause
(Caza & Jackson, 2011). An authentic leader is a leader who can display moral courage to
execute what they feel is right. They set an example for others to follow and encourage them to
always be the best version of themselves. In most practical terms, think of organization leaders
who, as soon as they assume power, overhaul everything and do what they feel is right. Such
leaders can do unexpected things on some occasions, at times, go contrary to the rules, and
sometimes it may have appeared as if they were doing something against the stakeholders
involved in the short term. However, that felt right to them.
Honesty is an optimal example of integrity in the workplace. Honesty encourages open communication
between employers, employees and co-workers. It leads to effective relationships in an organization.
When workers are honest about the various aspects of their jobs that need improvement, employers can
take action and help. Employers that are open about company policies and changes that affect the
organization are more trustworthy from the employees' perspective. But, many people believe it's
sometimes better to tell a small lie when it isn't going to hurt anyone. The problem is, once you tell one
lie, you often have to tell more lies to go along with it. It's stressful having to remember which lie you
told to whom, and you begin to feel bad about lying. The combination of lying and worrying about it is
starting to affect your work and you feel your integrity slipping.
Leading by example improves personal awareness, sensitivity to others and accountability which
are all necessary for ethical behaviour and integrity.
“Integrity” has become a concept with more prominence in research on government and
governance, as well as in actual policy making at all levels. In this contribution for the journal
Public Integrity, whose name illustrates the importance of the topic, a number of basic questions
about integrity are addressed. The main question concerns the meaning of the intriguing concept,
what is “integrity?” Everybody desires it, but what exactly is being longed for and talked about? A
review of the literature (Huberts, 2014) led to at least eight different views that will be summarized
in the next sections, with additional reflection on the underlying basics of an integrity “approach”
and on its relationship with concepts/views with “ethics” or “corruption” or “good governance” in the
center. It will be concluded that integrity is a crucial concept for an understanding of governance.
Not as an alternative for many challenging “ethics theories and approaches” in the field but to be
embedded in existent “approaches” and theory development. This presupposes that moral values
and norms are important to describe and explain the behaviours of governance actors. That topic
should be a challenging one for future research that presupposes an “empirical turn” in the
research that already focuses on ethics and integrity.

Former CSC Chairman Francisico Duque reminds us: Integrity, also known as moral
uprightness and strong adherence to honesty and fairness, is closely linked to ethics. When a
person commits something unethical, in a sense he or she also loses his or her wholeness. There
is damage already done to a person’s character. As much as possible, we would want to maintain
our integrity. We cannot afford to do something that would damage it. Some people may think that
they maintain their integrity by keeping their wrongdoings a secret. Exposed or not, however, they
have already damaged their integrity. After all, integrity involves doing the right thing even if
nobody sees you.
