I see an abstract painting. At first, I cannot distinguish it because of the shapes and style
that Hernando Ocampo used.

Analyze

The Value and the Hue are emphasized in this painting; specifically, the shades of red to
exhibit the hidden image of it. Moreover, Hernando Ocampo used irregular shapes.

Interpret

According to Hernando Ocampo, this painting represents"the full flowering" because it shows
a flame of the red color. Also, it represents the abstract style in the search of the Filipino
spirit.
Decide
I like this painting since it challenged me to understand the meaning of it. I have looked at
the different angles in order to see the hidden image. There's nothing wrong in this painting.
It depends on the person who sees the beauty in it.

Compare
I chose Elijah Pascual's work. He picked the painting: "The Builders" by Victorio Edades.
The style of painting I took is different from Elijah's choice. Mine is an abstract, his is oil
painting.

Both paintings emphasizes one element of art which is the value of colors, most specifically
the shade. Both painters added black color to show some gradient and shadow.

Moreover, both paintings has this principle of art which is the Unity. Every part of it works
out together even if it is monochromatic
