Introducing People

Choose a person (from your family, friends or celebrities you know well). Then look at the questions below
and write a short text about him/her. Some samples are given below.
• What is your relationship to him/her?
• What is his/her name?
• Where is he/she from?
• How old is he/she?
• Is he/she married or single?
• What other information can you give about him/her?

Sample 1
This is my best friend. His name is Marco and he’s from Spain. He’s 17 years old
and he’s a student. His favourite sport is basketball. He’s single. His father’s
name is Sergio. He’s 55 and He’s retired. Her mother’s name is Penelope. She’s
an English teacher at a high school. Marco has two sisters. Their names are
Miranda and Sophia. They’re primary school students. Miranda is 8 and Sophia
is 9. Marco’s favourite football team is Real Madrid.

Sample 2
This is my aunt Molly. She’s from Ireland. She’s 46 and she is a journalist. She is
married. Her husband’s name is John. She has a daughter and two sons. Her
daughter’s name is Sally. She is 20. Her son’s name is David. He is 18. They are
high school students. Molly’s favourite author is Brazilian author Paulo Coelho.
