1 ) Write a paragraph about your diet.

For these few years, I have somewhat followed a low-carb diet. A low-carb diet
limits carbohydrates and instead of eating carbs, you eat whole foods including
natural proteins, fats, and vegetables. My priority to follow this diet is to stay fit
and get lean in the long-term. Moreover, this diet gives me plenty of benefits than I
have expected. Pursuing a low-carb diet requires me to consume more vegetables
and natural protein than usual, I also follow several strict eating rules that create
healthy eating habits for me. A low-carb diet also contributes to enhance my health
situation as low-carb makes it easier to lose weight, reduce blood sugar to prevent
diabetes, and improve mental clarity. However, there are several drawbacks of this
diet since I limit my consumption the whole time I’m sometimes starving and lack
of energy to complete my daily routine. To conclude, a low-carb diet is a beneficial
choice for its useful result.

2) Write a paragraph, describe a food experience you had while

visiting a new place. Where were you? What was the food? How
was it prepared? How did you choose this food? What was special
about it? Would you recommend this food to others?

While some people strongly protest against using all kinds of

counterfeit products, I somehow purchase several fake items, for
example, counterfeit shoes. The product that I want to mention is a pair
of Nike Air Force 1. Lately, these shoes have become widespread as
their comfort and attractive appearance that why many distributors
have offered this fake product to the market. You can easily buy a pair
of counterfeit shoes at shoe shops or some markets in the city at a low
price. The price of the real one is from 2 million to 5 millions depend on
the models but the fake one is only 2 hundred to 5 hundred VND. The
low price can somewhat reflect the quality of the shoe, the leather is
not the good one and some details are not carefully machined.
However, it’s still reasonable for me to buy this one as my budget is
tight and these shoes are useable just to hang out with friends. To
conclude, I don’t completely support everyone purchasing counterfeit
products since it depends on their budget, their need, and their
situation. Some kinds of products are still useful but using the fake one
directly to the skin or body such as cosmetics or perfume is not a wise
choice.
My younger sister’s dream job is becoming a
coordinator. I was pretty surprised when I heard this
answer as my sister wasn’t good at communication
and management sometimes. As I was known, being
a coordinator means you have to handle the logistics
of events, administration, scheduling, and business
operations. It requires great communication skills
since you have to interact with many people and
arrange the proper schedule for them to follow. My
sister is a careful and meticulous person so I firmly
believe that with more practice and improvement in
communication skills she can pursue her passion. To
sum up, I hope my sister can follow her dream to
become a good coordinator in the future.

We planned  a weekend activity for the club, we are in charge of the venue of the
operation. After a meeting we decided  to have an outdoor activity with lots of
fun. Everything went very smoothly, but by the day it happened we had problems
with the weather again. Strong winds and signs of rain. Before that situation we
must urgently discuss to find a solution. We had to find an alternative site that
was reasonable and not too far from the original location. After that discussion
we decided to change the location of the activity into the cultural house 50m
away. The team leader came to ask for permission from the staff there and
fortunately they agreed. We  quickly moved the widgets  and rearranged the
sequence of operation. Although it took place 2 hours later than expected, the
activity was very successful, everyone was happy.
Thomas Edison was a very creative person, one of the most famous inventors of all time.
He was born in a small town in the United States. When he was a young boy, Thomas
found school to be very boring. A teacher once told Thomas’s mother that he believed
the young boy was rather stupid. However, Edison’s mother understood that her son
was very intelligent. She then took him away from school and began to teach him
herself. As a young man, Thomas Edison became very interested in inventing new
machines. One of his first inventions was a small electrical machine that could be used
for counting votes. However, the government was not interested in his invention. But
Edison was not discouraged. He continued inventing. Probably the most famous
invention of Edison’s is the electric light bulb. Thomas Edison began his research on
electric light bulbs in March 1878. Thousands of experiments and research took place
endlessly and finally after a thousand failures in October 1879, humanity's first electric
light bulb was born, illuminated to continue 40 hour. On December 31, 1879, a special
train followed more than 3,000 people going back to New York - Menlo Park to observe
the light bulb with his own eyes. That night, all the scientists, professors, government
employees, and the entire population of Menlo Park were flooded in the ample light of
a new lamp that replaced the conventional one. Within a few years, Edison’s electric
lights were used on the streets of cities in many countries. Soon after, people began
using electric lights in their homes. Although Edison was an extremely creative man, he
believed that his success was due to many hours of hard work. He once said that
“Genius is one percent inspiration, and ninety-nine percent perspiration.” In other
words, a successful person should have good ideas, but the most important thing is to
work very hard. Thomas Edison was a great inventor. He invented many things still in
use today.

Latent rules that you should follow when you are on the bus.
The first and most important rule, no matter whether you are men or women, is that you should
always offer your seat to anyone elderly, handicapped, pregnant, and children under 7 years old
or someone that has a problem with his/her health. Rule number two, if you have consumed any
strong, smelly drinks or food, you should cover your mouth with your hand when you speak and
remember to breathe gently, and if you have a facemask, do not hesitate for any moment and wear
it on. Rule number 3, be aware of where you put your belongings or luggage, you should always
put in on the luggage racks, you can only put them on the seats when space permits. Rule number
4, do not be that annoying guy on the bus, who keeps making loud noise with his/ her voice or
phone, remember not to have a lengthy conversation on the phone and if you want to watch or
listen to something on your phone or smart devices like Tik Tok or Youtube videos, you should
plug your headphones in and use it right away. Last but not least, no matter how much hurry you
are, do not push or yell at other people when entering or leaving
the bus, a couple of second fasters will not help you to arrive in time, but it can make other
people have a bad outlook and judgment on you. Here are some latent rules that you should
follow if you do not want to become a jerk in other people’s eyes.

Latent table manners that no one will tell you in Vietnam.
The first rule you should follow is that you should chew gently and remember not to make any
loudly or eccentric sound when consuming your food, it is a nice way to show your  respect and
gratitude for the cooks making a delicious meal in Japan, but this is Vietnam, and Vietnamese
people hate the loud sound when you are chewing. Rule number two, let the elderly have the first
piece of food, or in another expression, let him or her be the first person touching the food on the
table, no matter how hungry and starving you are, you always have to pay your respect to the
elderly. The next rule is that you should not speak when you are consuming, chewing, or drinking
the food, it is very impolite speaking while eating since the food in your mouth can fall out of
your mouth into other people’s hands, or faces. Another rule is that you should always say “bon
appetit”, or also known as “please enjoy your meal” before the meal and do not forget to say
“thank you for the meal” to your cook at the end of the meal. Last but not least, be aware of the
amount of food and the speed you consume, remember to only eat your part, do not be greedy on
the table who eats everything he or she likes until satisfied. In Vietnamese culture, especially
about the manners on the table, there is various things people expect you to follow without telling
you in advance, so if you want to behave politely on the table, you have to remember and follow
all the rules mentioned above.
