5G-NR support ............................................................................................................................................... 5
• Technology improvements:
o Initial support for Samsung Exynos chipset devices collected with TEMS
Investigation, supporting 19 messages and common radio parameters.
o Added support for per PCI and per NR-ARFCN attribute groups for UE and
scanner measurements.
o Added initial support for Samsung Exynos chipset 5G NR devices, collected
with Infovista TEMS Investigation and TEMS Pocket.
5G-NR support
• Added an initial phase of support for Samsung Exynos 5G NR chipset, collected
with TEMS Investigation and TEMS Pocket, with 19 messages supported, and
initial attributes set for UE NR-RRC signaling, PCI, Beam ID, NR-ARFCN, RSRP,
RSRQ, RSSI, SINR, RACH events, RI, CSI-WB, Num RBs (UL), Tx Power,
L1/MAC/RLC/PDCP Throughput.
• Added support for the following devices in TEMS Investigation, TEMS Pocket and
TEMS Paragon:
o OnePlus 7 Pro NR (GM1920 ODM+)
o Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G (SM-N9760 ODM+)
• Initial support has been added for the Samsung Exynos 5G NR chipset, collected
with TEMS Investigation and TEMS Pocket (requiring 5G-NR platform license).
o Samsung Exynos log code has been decoded as the attribute
Samsung_Log_Code
o NR RRC and NAS protocol messages have been decoded into the Message
Browser, Protocol Stack Browser and NR_Uu_RRC attributes
o Support has been added for the following messages:
o NR PHY SSB SINR message, including MIMO attributes:
▪ NR_UE_BeamIdx
▪ NR_UE_BeamIdx_SortedBy_RSRP
▪ NR_UE_Beam_Rx*_SINR_SortedBy_RSRP
o NR Serving Cell Info, setting attributes:
▪ NR_UE_PCI
▪ NR_UE_Band
▪ NR_UE_NR_ARFCN_DL
▪ NR_UE_RSRP
▪ NR_UE_RSRQ
▪ NR_UE_RSSI
▪ NR_UE_SINR
▪ NR_UE_SubCarrierSpacing_DL
o NR Neighbor Cell Info, setting attributes:
• Support for Facebook and Twitter application settings has been added, and OTT
operation duration times have been extracted:
o TEMS_Event_Facebook_Logon_Start
o TEMS_Event_Facebook_Logon_Attempt
o TEMS_Event_Facebook_Logon_End
o TEMS_Facebook_LogOn_Duration
o TEMS_Event_Facebook_Logoff_Start
o TEMS_Event_Facebook_Logoff_Attempt
o TEMS_Event_Facebook_Logoff_End
o TEMS_Facebook_LogOff_Duration
o TEMS_Event_Facebook_Operation_Start
o TEMS_Event_Facebook_Operation_Attempt
o TEMS_Event_Facebook_Operation_End
o TEMS_Facebook_Operation_Duration
o TEMS_Event_Twitter_Logon_Start
o TEMS_Event_Twitter_Logon_Attempt
o TEMS_Event_Twitter_Logon_End
o TEMS_Twitter_LogOn_Duration
o TEMS_Event_Twitter_Operation_Start
o TEMS_Event_Twitter_Operation_Attempt
o TEMS_Event_Twitter_Operation_End
o TEMS_Twitter_Operation_Duration
• For UEs with the Samsung Exynos chipset, the decoding of message UL1 UMTS RF
Info v2 has been improved, to invalidate all LTE attributes and extract the
following WCDMA attributes:
o Uu_ActiveSet_EcNo
o Uu_ActiveSet_RSCP
o Uu_ActiveSet_SC
o UTRA_UE_CarrierRssi
• Resolved a problem which prevented certain UE and scanner files from being
detected as 5GNR.
• Resolved a problem in the detection of the AMR Codec name, where AMR WB FR is
used, setting attribute Speech_Codec_Type to “FR-AMR-WB” and decoding the
rate into attributes AMR_Codec_Name_DL and AMR_Codec_Usage_DL.
• Resolved a problem caused by the TEMS RR API, previously affecting the ability to
load a large number of files in a single session.
• Improvements have been made to report MAC throughput per carrier, indexed by
Qualcomm carrier ID:
o NR_UE_Throughput_MAC_DL_for_Carrier
• Resolved a problem where LTE Carrier Aggregation attributes were being set
incorrectly.
• Added logic to support the variable log codes used in the X50 and X55 chipset
versions, allowing the beam measurements including NR_UE_SINR to be
decoded from the NR 5G ML1 Serving Cell Beam Management message by default,
or if not present, using the NR 5G ML1 Searcher Measurement Database Update
Ext message instead, provided valid SINR values are measured at those
messages.
• Support has been added for new versions of these messages in the Message
Browser:
• Support has been added for MIB2 frame support for UEs:
• Support has been added for NR TopN Scan messages (v2) in the Message Browser
only.
General
• For LTE scanners, the expected range of attributes for PSRP and SSRP is now
extended from -140 to -30 dBm, and the associated format group range has been
extended to include values up to -30dBm.
• Advance notice is given that by the end of March 2020, support for the Comarco
Seven.Five and Symphony Opti formats shall be deprecated.
• Advance notice is given that by end of June 2020, support for the FreeWill
AzenQos AZL (export) format shall be deprecated. Actix Analyzer shall still
continue to support the raw and processed AZM formats for more accurate
reporting.
Following the end of June 2020, support for Actix Analyzer running on Windows 7
shall be deprecated, and support cases shall no longer be accepted if they relate
to issues arising from these OS versions.
