 GUIDELINES OF PROJECT

Environmental Education subject is mandatory for the standard 11th

and 12th - Arts, Commerce, Science. Students of class 11th and 12th are
required to prepare project report in writing during each academic
year.

Guidelines for writing project report

It is mandatory for the students to write project reports according to the
following guidelines.
 STEPS OF WRITING PROJECT WORK

 Introduction – (2 marks-1 page- back to back) (Why you have selected topic )

 Background of the subject, Justification of choosing the topic.

 Student is expected to write briefly about the subject and the reasons for selecting the particular topic.

 Brief history, new updated information, current status of the topic should be included in introduction
 IMPORTANCE OF PROJECT

 Importance – (2 marks-1 side page)

Why particular project is important

Student has to write the precise importance of project work by identifying the present
environmental, scientific and social value of the project topic
 OBJECTIVES

 Objectives – (2 marks-1 side page)

 what is that you will find out in the project

 write the appropriate objectives.
 The objectives of the project work should be in proper manner.

For example
 To study causes of environmental issue or project topic
 To study effects of environmental issue or project topic
 To study measures of environmental issue or project topic
 METHODOLOGY

Methodology : – (4 marks-1 page- back to back)

If students are opting for theoretical project then write down as secondary data collected
from various reference books.

variety of data collection methods which includes survey, questionnaire, interviews,

experiments, field observations, site visits, etc.

Encourage use of the newspapers / self-drawn pictures/photographs of the issues taken by

the students themselves.
 OBSERVATIONS

 Observations – (4 marks-2 pages- back to back) (effects of environmental issue )

Data/ information collection should be depicted in the form of observation tables,

graphs and brief points.

The next part - conclusion is based on the observations recorded.

 ANANLYSIS

 Analysis – (4 marks-2 pages- back to back) (causes of environmental issue )

analysis of data- discuss ‘why’ of data

It is an important step to analyze/evaluate the observations based on a various

numerical or statistical methods, e.g. Mean, mode, median, correlation, average,
percentage etc.

Based on this analysis it becomes more accurate and effective. By

this method, you can effectively indicate the numerical values through graphs,histograms, and images
ANALYSIS
 RESULT

 Results – (2 marks-1 page- back to back) ( measures to avoid environmental issue )

 What is the project outcome,

What were the learning's from the project,

Did you fulfil objectives of project

The results should have interpretation and inference of the data / information obtained
 CONCLUSION

 Briefly summarize your main points.

 The conclusion allows you to have the final say on the issues you have raised in
your Project.

Seminar or Journal /assignments work

 Seminar or Journal /assignments work is compulsory .

 Students can select topic for Seminar or journal /assignments from text
book.

 It is excepted that student should read all the contents to write the Seminar
or journal /assignments.
STUDENT MUST REMEMBER
PROJECT :

 Project should be a handwritten ,typing is not allowed .

 Prepare only One project in academic year.

 Students should score minimum 18 marks for passing. there will be no Grace Marks.

 Project topics should be fixed at the beginning of the academic year, student should not

change project topic.

 Individual project is compulsory for every student.

 Project book submit in time.

STUDENT MUST REMEMBER
ASSIGNMENTS:

 Five journal assignments must be written in an academic year

 Maximum 2 pages are expected for each assignment.

 Journal assignment should be handwritten, typing is not allowed.

 Students should keep environmental view for journal assignment.

 Plastic cover is not allowed
