Materials Needed:
Yarn: Worsted Weight #4, approximately 150g of main color, 50-75g of accent colors
Color A: Black, Color B: Gray, Color C: White
Hook Size: D Hook or 3.25 mm
40 mm safety eyes(sparky), 34 mm(persephone), 18 mm black safety eyes(Optional), water
based acrylic paint(black and white)
Scissors, sewing needle, stitch marker, fiberfill stuffing
Black embroidery thread, false eyelashes(optional), nail polish sealer
Abbreviations:
mr= magic ring- crochet single crochet stitches in to the
adjustable loop BLO= back loops only
ch= chain stitch F/O= Fasten off
sc= single crochet stitch
sl= slip stitch
dc= double crochet stitch
inc= increase- make two single crochet stitches in the same stitch
dec=decrease- crochet two stitches together using the decrease method
(4 sc, inc) x 6= repeat the pattern between parentheses 6 times
Notes:
• Do not join rounds unless stated, work in a continuous spiral
• Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round
• All stitches are worked in both loops unless stated otherwise in the pattern
Bolts(Make 2):
I chose to use safety eyes for bolts but there is a crochet version here if you prefer that.
With Color A:
Make a magic ring
Ch 1, make 6 sc into the magic ring, join to the 1st sc with a sl st
Ch 1, sc in each st around, join to the 1
st sc with a sl st
Ch 1, increase in each st around, join to the 1st sc with a sl st= 12
Stuff the bolt as you work lightly
Ch 1, BLO sc in each st around, join to the 1st sc with a sl st
Ch 1, BLO dec x 6, join to the 1st sc with a sl st= 6
F/O and leave a long tail for sewing
Spots(Make 2):
With Color A:
1. Make 6 sc into a magic ring= 6
2. (sc, inc) x 3= 9
F/O and leave a long tail for sewing
Ears:
1. Pin the ears on top of the head. Approximately between rows 36 and 37.
2. Sew the ears onto the head.
Legs:
1. Turn the body upside down with the nose facing away from you.
2. Pin the legs onto the bottom of the body approximately between rounds 5 and 6.
3. Sew the legs onto the body
Back:
1. Pin the square onto the back of the body.
2. Sew the square onto the back.
3. Pin the spots onto the square and sew them on.
4. Add some black stitches with embroidery thread around the edges of the square.

Tail:
Starting with Color A:
1. Make 6 sc into a magic ring= 6
2. Increase in each st around= 12
3-5. sc in each st around
6. dec x 6= 6
Do not stuff the tail from this point on
Change to Color B:
7-13. sc in each st around
F/O and leave a long tail for sewing
Arms:
1. Pin the arms onto the front of the body.
2. Sew the arms underneath the bulge on the front of the body. Everything will be
slightly awkward to sew on but it just takes patience.
Tail:
1. Pin the tail onto the back of the body.
2. Sew the tail into place.

You can use different eye and nose sizes. You might have to adjust the placements if you
change the sizes.
You can use different hook sizes and weights of yarn. It will just change the size of your dog and
you might need to adjust eye and nose placement.
How you stuff matters! The type of stuffing you use, how you stuff, all this matters on how your
dog turns out. I prefer Polyfil stuffing but you can use other types.
