SUSTAINABILITY
October 4, 2021
Trees play an important role isn increasing urban biodiversity, providing plants and
animal with a favourable habitat, food and protection. Especially in cities with high levels of
pollutuion, trees can improve air quality, making cities healthier places to live in. Research over
the years has confirmed the immense value and benefits that mature urabn trees offer our cities.
And the more mature the tree, the greater benefit, so its critical trees are planted with mature
establishment in mind. Few things can compare with the aesthetic impact and seasonal interest
that trees offer the urban setting. They provide huge visual appeal to any area and can
significantly enhance the design of a streetscape. Trees have also been proven to have a positive
impact on skin care, asthma, hypertension, and other stress realted illness by filtering out
polluted air reducing smog formation, providing shade from solar radiation, and providing an

their lives are often replaced with smaller species - if at all. These replanted trees then struggle to
establish and reach maturity due to the demands of paved surrounds around them, (Spencer

water vapor released by their leaves, they lower the temperature between 2 and 8 ºC on
sunny days. In the same way, they prevent the quick evaporation of the water used to water the
lawns, which means saving both natural resources and money. In addition, trees also benefit

and Agriculture Organization) trees in cities also help to revalue the area where they've been
planted, helping to achieve increase revenue of up to 20% in comparison to those areas of the
city where there is no vegetation. Finally, when it comes to physical exercise, for most people
wooded areas pose a much better setting than the streets made up only of concrete and asphalt,
(Simpson 2005).
The research paper seeks to achieve the effectivity of plant a tree project for shade,
serenity and sustainability at the city by focusing on the following specific objectives:
2. To raise awareness to the society in the importance of planting and saving trees.
Methodology
This study used the descriptive survey method as data gathering research style which will
solicit information on existing programs of the government, The instrument was conformed to
the statement that desire with the sub problems of the effectivity of plant a tree project for shade,
serenity and sustainability at the city. The four point scale was used to analyze the data which
were gathered in order to determine the effectivity of plant a tree project for shade, serenity and
