1. What is the difference between hearing and listening? Explain concisely.

According to dictionary, hearing is the process, function or power of perceiving

sound. Thus, when we hear something, we’re aware of the noise or sound it makes,
but we don’t necessarily interpret or make sense of it. On the other hand,
listening is the process of paying attention and understanding what we hear. Thus,
when we listen, we have to interpret the sounds we hear. We pay attention to them,
process them, and try to make sense of them.
