HEALTH 4th GRADING: ENRICHMENT ACTIVITY

Not considering your religious appellation how do you connect your plan stated in
your supplementary activity in order to develop and grow the spirituality aspect of your life in
which we must consider as the highest aspect in one’s individual life, do this simple format in
sharing your idea.

COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE SPECIALIST

Introduction:
A Community Healthcare Specialist is someone who focuses on the maintenance,
protection, and improvement of the health of all community members. Example of these are
Barangay/Community Health Work and Rural sanitary Inspection. He/she works heavily on a
one-on-one basis with the community to aid in providing healthcare information to their clients.
Therefore, a strong concentration in communication is essential for a community health
specialist to perform their job.

Contents:
As I have stated in my assignment, I have chosen this healthcare career because of my
interests in the lives of our fellowmen in the community who belongs to the Rural areas. In this
area we encounter different kind of people with different attitudes, behaviors and status in life
especially in their spiritual aspect.
As a person with a strong faith in God, I believe that every person we encounter believes
that there is God but others are not showy or very vocal about their spiritual aspect. They tend to
do what they think is more important – that is the basic necessity of life, that is what matters
most to them. They neglect to seek help from Almighty who can provide their needs in this life.
They tend believe on themselves or to what others can give to them rather than what God can do
to them. And this is what I have observed in this area, it may not be all but most of them.
So how can I grow and develop my spiritual aspect through this career? I know that
being a health worker is not just committing yourself to provide the community the healthcare
that they need but going beyond to care not just for their physical needs, but to their emotional
and spiritual needs as well. And as a Christian, the best way is to treat the person genuinely, we
need to let them feel that you are concern on what they truly feel, make them feel that you can be
trusted so that these people will listen to you and will respect you. And when they can speak
about their feelings, listen well with compassionate heart and serve without expecting anything
in return. In this way, I believe that I am not just showing them my genuine personality but also
developing my spiritual aspect.
Closing:
 In everything that you decide to do to your career, pray and ask God for wisdom to
support them in the way they need, most especially ask God to enlighten their spiritual aspect as
a person. Do not depend on yourself alone as a health worker rather ask God to guide you in
every way that you wanted to do in improving yourself and the community you are going to
work for.
