1. What does Good Citizenship Values mean?
- The following values enshrined in the preamble of the 1987 Philippine Constitution can, and
ought to, be lived by all members of the Philippine society. It is envisioned that indeed, in time,
these values will be shared in all sectors, in the circumstances specific to each, including the:
government sector, private sector, education, health, services, military & police, religious, labor,
agriculture & fisheries, media & entertainment, youth, and the civil society sector.
2. Why do we need to develop this value?
- Citizenship is important for establishing strong moral codes among individuals, but it is also
important for creating a safe and supportive society while protecting democracy. Teaching
citizenship also allows students to understand the difference between becoming a citizen and
exercising citizenship. Teach children various civic issues, including honesty, compassion,
respect, responsibility and courage, so that children can make positive contributions to their
communities

- by living in accordance with the good citizenship values derived from the Preamble of the 1987
Constitution:

- I will become a leader and show or influence people the values that a good citizen should have
for them to follow and influence more people in following these values.

- In order to build and build a just and humane society, we must embody our ideals and desires,
promote common interests, safeguard and develop our heritage, and ensure independence and
constitutional democracy and the blessings of truth and justice for ourselves and our future
