D.S.R. FOR THE YEAR 2012-2013

NOTES

1.0 General
1.1 This schedule of rates is prepared for year 2012-13
is applicable from 1 st Jan, 2013 to 30 th June, 2013.
1.2 These rates are applicable for the jurisdiction under Mumbai
Construction Circle, Chembur, Mumbai – 400 071.

2.0 Taxes Considered in Rates

2.1 Since basic rates of materials adopted while preparing rate abstract of
items are as per market rates, which include VAT, Sale tax, turnover tax
and all other taxes, no separate provision is made in the DSR.

Dated 03.03.2006)
2.2 Octroi charges are not included in the rates. However 2% on rates of
completed items may be added for Octroi wherever applicable.
2.3 Toll charges are not included in the rates. The applicable Toll charges
shall be added.
2.4 Royalty charges are included in the rates.

3.0 Lead considered in Rates - Unless and otherwise mentioned in the description
of items, following leads are considered in the rates of items.
3.1 For all "supply" items, 1.0 km. lead is considered in the rate.
3.2 For all WBM and Bituminous items, 1.0 km lead for stone aggregates
and filler materials is considered.
3.3 Rate of Bitumen considered in all items is at Mumbai Refinery.
3.4 For all Earthwork items, lead of 1.0 km. is considered
3.5 All the Bridge and C.D. work items are inclusive of initial lead of
5.00 Km., except where specifically mentioned against the item.

4.0 Basic rates of materials and labour do not include over head charges.

5.0 Basic rates of materials considered for working out rates of items are as below.

6.0 Subsequent increase or decrease in basic rates of materials, if any, shall

be accounted for the rate analysis of items while framing the estimates.
7.0 For the items of excavation, cost of incidental dewatering is considered in
the rates. However, separate provision for dewatering may be considered
if necessary.
8.0 The rates of cross drainage works Items are exclusive of cost of pipes and
collar but inclusive cost of cement, sand and machinery required. Cost of
pipes and collars to be added as per MSSIDC Rate Contract.
9.0 Rates for transportation shown in Lead Chart includes labour charges,
loading, unloading and stacking of material at site.
10.0 Reference of PWD Standard Specification /MOST Specification are
mentioned in bracket below the description of the items.
11.0 For testing of Soil, test bores, load tests, plate load test etc. the DSR of
Maharashtra Engineering Research Institute (MERI) Nasik is to be
adopted.

12.0 As per Government of Maharashtra Revenue and Forest Department
Notification No. Gaukhani 10/1009/PK-309/Kh, dated 11 th feb, 2010,
Royalty charges of Rs. 200/- Brass i.e. Rs. 70.67/- cum are include in the
respective items of supply of natural material i.e. Rubble, Metal, Murum and
Rs. 400/- Brass i.e. Rs. 141.34/-Cum. For sand in Mumbai Metropolitan
regional Development area etc. are considered in the DSR. Agency will have
to produce documentary evidence to the concerned Executive Engineer, as
regards payment made by agency to revenue Department towards royalty
charges. If such documentary evidence is not produced the component of
Royalty charges and contemplated in the item shall not be paid to Agency and
recovery shall be made while making payment of bill. Copy of Notification
attached. However in case the rates are revised by Revenue and Forest
Department time to time, the difference may be considered while preparing
estimate.
