as much detail as possible.

2. Proposed content of the series

Please provide here information on book projects, authors and topics that might
typically be included in the series. Include any book projects already under
discussion for inclusion in the series.

3. Size of the series

Provide an estimate of the number of titles the series will publish per year

4. Editorial Board

If you wish to set up an Editorial Board for the series provide details of potential
names and their affiliations
Market and Competition

1. What subject areas will form the main audience for the series? Provide
detail of the main disciplines and sub-disciplines to which the series will
appeal. Provide detail of the level of readership (student, postgraduate,
researcher etc).

2. List any secondary audiences for the series – practitioners,

policymakers, professionals etc.

3. Provide your analysis of competing series/books currently available.

Provide the title, author/editor, publisher, publication date and price.
What are the strengths and weaknesses of these series? What benefits
does your series have in relation to competing series/books?

Promotion

1. Provide details of commissioning strategies you will use to encourage

authors to publish in the series. What networks, associations,
memberships etc will you draw on? How will you reach out to
international scholars?

2. Which conferences, journals, listservs, blogs etc would provide the best
platform for advertising the series?

3. Can you provide any information that will help us promote the series in
specific markets, e.g. Europe, Asia, Americas etc – key national
conferences, series editor networks etc
