Mental Health Awareness

Mental health is the key to holistic wellness. In today’s webinar we’ve been
taught about the importance of having a good knowledge when it comes to
mental health. The webinar was headed by Dr. Glenda Basubas and she
explained to us that our mental well being should come first because a
healthy mind leads to a happy life. I love how she explained to us the truth
behind our mental state because she didn’t lie and give us comforting words
that would make anyone feel worst instead, she told us that all of us under
some circumstances have experienced dealing with some mental issues
which might be depression, anxiety or disorders. It will be dark and perhaps
lonely but she also assures us that when battling mental health related
issues, one shouldn’t feel alone. Mental health issues are present and a
current threat to everyone everyday but that doesn’t better days won’t come.
There are government, health officials and professionals that will guide us to
help solve our problems or if we think that our friends could help us vent our
emotions the don’t feel bad to express it. I love that the school took some
time to conduct a webinar about mental health since that we cannot see each
other and check if how everyone is doing during this trying times. We live
most of our lives inside our mind and it is important that it is a healthy place
to live in.
