ACTIVITY 1

1. Based from the topic 1 presented, compare the cephalocaudal physical assessment and
examination that you usually do with your patient based on how you were taught from Level 1
until this time, with how a physical examination is done basing it now thru the cultural
background. (What is the difference?); Is it relevant if you are told to do the same now?

2. Your output will be submitted in the folder in our GClass page of our course/ subject, limit it
to 20-30 words, follow the Rubric on Essay writing.
Activity 2 - Short essay

1. From the topics presented, write something about what you believe in terms of "Healing by
the faith healers". Do you believe in faith healers? Was there ever a time that you consulted your
illness condition to them? What was your health illness condition? Were you healed? Since then,
where do you consult if you have a health problem? How will you compare consulting between a
faith healer and a professional health practitioner?
ACTIVITY 3 - Short Essay

1. With the topics that was presented on Pregnancy and Culture, I would like you to cite an
example (Filipino setting) and discuss how a certain culture in your own place affects

pregnancy in terms of the following:

a. Postpartum rituals

b. Breastfeeding practices

c. Intimate partner violence during pregnancy.

PERSPECTIVE IN MENTAL HEALTH NURSING

1. The topic and sub-topics learned in this chapter, was on Mental Health Nursing which was
presented with and in different cultures across the country.

2. In the Philippine setting, describe the influence of culture on mental health care values,
beliefs, and practices. What do you think is the main concern that we have in terms of mental
health? How do Filipinos adapt these concerns? Are you aware that this exist?

3. Write your output in 30-40 words. Send in the folder provided in the G-classroom/work. 4.
Follow the rubrics attached in Module 1.
