1 INTRODUCTION

objectives. You are required to draw the advantages for selecting a particular
option with recommendations, while considering the strengths and weakness

including its advantages and disadvantages and the impacts on its structure

different types of business structure available for your organization and the
interrelationships of its different functions. And also you are required to draw a
possible organisational structure and functions for the organization along with
recommendations for a better interrelationship between your organizational
functions

According to the information collected from the questions of 1.6, 1.7, and 1.8 you have to proposed a
new better suitable organizational structure for your selected organization.

Then you have to analyse how each department functions(departmentalization) according to the newly
proposed structure.

Then explain how the interrelationship of each department to achieve company objectives. You can
explain this using some examples. Ex: company is going to introduce a new product, increasing sales by
10%..

2.1 Identify some positive and negative impacts of the macro environment on

Provide some factors (general factors) effect on your business from externally. Macro environment
(external environment). Discuss all factors commonly.

2.2 Conduct an internal and external analysis to identified organization core strengths
and weaknesses using Porter’s Five Force model
Do a competitive analysis for the selected organization. Then identified what are the core strengths and
weakness of the company against the competitors.

2.3 Explain how these strengths and weaknesses are linked to the external macro
factors of selected organization
Using the information collected on 2.2. and 2.4 answer for this question. You have discuss what are the
strengths of the organization (from 2.2) and from that how to minimize the external threats (2.4) and
vise versa..

2.4 Analyse the macro environment of organization using PESTEL model.

2.5 Carry out a SWOT analysis for selected organization and justify the findings
Do a SWOT analysis for the selected organization.

2.6 Investigates the findings from PESTEL and SWOT analysis for an in-depth
understanding of the impact of the macro environment as well as to justify how
this affects organisation’s decision-making processes (Reflective statement). In
addition you are required to provide your own recommendations for the top
management from the PESTEL and SWOT analysis.
Do a reflective statement: explain what you have learned from this analysis. What are the information
found out and share experience on this.

Next do a TOWS analysis from the information collected and recommend solutions for the company.
