PM11119E4 Antifog
PM11119E4 is an antifog developed for food packaging. PM11119E4 allows for superior visibility
through clear films used in hot or cold packaging. Additives and resins used in PM11119E4 are
approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in food packaging.

PM11119E4 Performance - General characteristics:

Carrier resin: PE/EVA
Color: Clear
Pellet characteristics: Strand or underwater pelletized
Pellets per gram: 50 +/- 5
Suggested letdown ratio: 5% to 10%

PM11119E4 can be used in a variety of polyolefins including LDPE, LLDPE, and EVA.

PM11119E4 Performance – Antifog performance in polymers:

Figure 1 compares PM11119E4 with a control film not containing any antifog. EVA films (1 mil
thickness) were prepared. PM11119E4 was used at a 6.67% letdown ratio. A hot antifog test was
performed and figure 1 shows antifog performance after one hour. For improved visibility a red dye has
been added to the water in the test.

PM11119E4 General Characteristics:

PM11119E4 is used to provide antifog characteristics in packaging films. A discussion with Techmer
PM is recommended for PM11119E4 applications with antistats or slip agents. Techmer PM can also
provide modified forms of PM11119E4 containing other additives and/or colors.
