FOREWORD

In 2018 we published a paper about the birth of Archæographology (“A new epigraphic
technique”) as a new science whose aim is providing a perfectly defined method of interpretation
of pre-alphabetic writing systems.
The same year, giving a course about the results of Archæographology in American cultures’
texts, an Italian archaeologist invited us to apply the same techniques to Egyptian hieroglyphs,
that obviously predate the first supposedly alphabetic Eurasian writing system (Ugaritic, 1500 BCE)
of at least 1,500 years.
And so we did, disregarding the quest for a predefined language, because it could not have
been Coptic, as it has been proposed from time to time. Coptic appeared hundreds of years after
the Egyptian hieroglyphic writing system.
Our method was trimmed in order to be apt to the reading of the new signs, and what
remained clear due to our experience, was that we would have been facing euphemisms and
puns, reunited in complete sentences, which is the standardized form of expressing ancient texts.
Trait-made poetry.
A few more words should be dedicated to a single sign. It is foolish to isolate a hieroglyph as if
it were a letter, because the whole meaning of a text is lost; nevertheless, in this paper we would
give an isolated example of reading, just to provide a basis of understanding.
The sign number refers to Sir Gardiner’s catalog , and the drawings in UNICODE can be acceded

al-kōd zyn kōnia hêh nar hak nōn ênia ênid hat bayn sah daka rada Kōêidat

Well, disregarding the symbols we use to express utterances, due to the specific positioning of
traits and the ambiguous sounds transliterated in western alphabet, the text is 100% Arabic, and
would be better transcribed as

…al-qud zyn kunia heh nar haq nawawn eania eanid hat bayn sah daka radaa Queidat

In this second sentence, we underlined the stressed vowels/sounds, even if in Arabic it is not
necessary to do so. The literal translation in English is

…supreme sapping gemming cosmic oracular fire catching up {at} apex denoting unyielding
settling articulating true reliability according to {what} She sat

For an easier reading, the sentence can be reduced to

…supreme crossing bright cosmic oracular fire catching up on top that indicates conditions of
drought and shows itself regularly according to what She established
CONCLUSIONS

What is left of Anubis (sometimes Inpw, Upuat, Upuaut), the god of the Underworld with a
jackal/wolf head? Only a euphemistic definition of a general condition of sterility. The sign
indicates clearly that it refers to Sirius (the brightest star in the sky, placed in Canis majoris) and
its oracular role as warning for the canicule accompanying its arrival in the heavens. The concept
of death in an isolated sign refers only to the drought, and it is related to the soil condition.
So, ancient Greeks did not father this perspective: they just adopted it.
Then, a second point deserves an answer. Who is She, the one who established the movements
in the celestial dome?
Scholars apparently forgot that before ca. 1500 BCE existed a sole worldwide idea of the
Supreme Entity, usually defined as Universal Mother. Probably the urge of demonstrating ancient
polytheism erased the memory of it.
We found Her in America, where her place was lately taken by the Virgin of Guadalupe (in
Mexico), and other Virgins in all the other countries. She appears in statuettes, carvings, and
monuments everywhere in Europe, Africa, and Asia, from the earliest times.
Divinity passed on a male entity only with the appearance of alphabetic writing systems, which
are the disintegration of the traits contained in hieroglyphs, and Goddess herself was made into
pieces.
In most Egyptian signs, the Universal Mother is called simply Ha, a term meaning “woman,
dame”, and also “checker”, delivering the sense of “She who supervises”. A better translation, due
to the fact that Her ancillary eyes were the uncountable stars, would be “the Beholder”.
She kept the skies and the Earth together, in a spherical universe, while being able to see
everywhere, including inside a human being’s interior.
