What I know

1. When getting updates about COVID -19 from DOH, can we consider this as formal or informal
source? Explain briefly your answer.
- IDepartment of Health ( DOH) is an executive department of the Government of the
Philippines responsible for ensuring access to basic public health services by all Filipinos
through the provision of quality health care, the regulation of all health services and
products. Thus, it considered as formal source.
2. How do you know that the information you get is coming from a formal source?
- If the information has specific details(e.g name of the ship, date and place of the
incident, name of people involved).
- If it has evidences that are not in any way manipulated, cut, or stretched.
3. What is the risk of getting information from informal sources?
- It may create a huge misunderstanding. It causes people to wrongly interpret situations
because of wrong informations.
