A. Write a close analysis about “ANG HULING TULA NA ISUSULAT KO PARA SA’YO by Juan Miguel
Severo.
a) Give a five sentence summary about the poem.
1. He wants to end the pain that he is experiencing by loving someone who can’t
give the love that he deserves ,even though it takes so many times and nights to
say every word that he kept for so long.
2. It began when the girl he adored gave him a glimpse of hope by smiling at him
and asking, "Where do you live?"
3. That girl has said nothing about the things he has and the stand of life he is
living,despite the fact that she could judge the way he was living.
4. The hope he was dreaming of was only a pulse of hope, when the girl said
“Mahalaga ka “,but he wanted to hear "Mahal Kita " rather than "Mahalaga ka ".
5. "Patatawarin kita, pero patatawarin mo rin ako," he said, because Ending the pain
means forgiving each other. Whether you hurt each other by committing those

b) Who is the speaker in this poem? What kind of person is he or she?

The speaker in this poem entitled “ANG HULING TULA NA ISUSULAT KO PARA
SA’YO” is a guy who finally wants to end the pain that he is experiencing ,by loving a
person that can’t reciprocate the love he givesHe's the type of person who is willing to
give up everything he has, even if it means becoming nothing, but the unfortunate part is
that the girl he adores takes him for granted and disregard his feelings.That's why, when I
watch his spoken poetry, I see the pain he's been carrying for a long time, and when he
realizes his worth, he wants to let go of all the pain, even if it means letting go of the
memories he has with the people who love him, so the last thing he wishes and wants is
forgiveness from each other, so he can move on and continue his life, without enduring
the pain that is caused by loving a wrong person.
c) To whom is the speaker speaking, or in other words, who is the audience?
I think the speaker speaking those words to the audience gives a pulse of hope to
someone who loves them, as well as to take for granted the willingness to give
everything in the name of love,but when we analyze his spoken words, we find that they
all point to the girl he loves, as well as the girl who has brought him the most pain. It was
about the girl to whom he was willing to sacrifice everything, a girl who gave him a pulse
of hope, a girl who can't cried for him, a girl who didn't want to stay with him, and a girl
that he was willing to let go of in order to end the suffering and forgive those things that
he couldn't do it for him.
d) What is the purpose of the poem?
This poem, "ANG HULING TULA NA ISUSULAT KO PARA SA'YO," is about letting go
of all the suffering you've been through for a long time, and forgiveness is the most
important, and last thing you can do to the person you love and to yourself.So I think the
purpose of this poem is to reach out to anyone who is suffering from the consequences
of loving the wrong person at the wrong moment.
e) State the poem’s central idea or theme in a singular sentence.
The central idea or theme of the poem is about a guy who gets hurt and holds on
for a long time, because the girl he loves doesn't see him as someone worth loving, she
only sees him as someone important but not someone she loves, but the protagonist
doesn't want the word important, he wants to be loved by the girl he adores, and the
poem's theme is about one-sided love.
f) What is the tone of the poem? How is it achieved?
The tone of the poem "ANG HULING TULA NA ISUSULAT KO PARA SA'YO" is
saddenss when he experiences being broken by loving the wrong person, frustrated
when he was in his darkest time because the girl he wanted and love brought him a worst
