using Microsoft Excel. On the Cross Reference page click Import List (1) then follow the
instructions on the screen to create a new list or import an existing list. The Template
button (2) will open Excel and allow the user to create a new list and save it. It can then
be imported. The Browse button (3) allows the user to search for a saved list. Once a list
has been selected the Import button (4) will start the import process. All competitive
numbers that cross to a Donaldson part number will display when the import is completed.
Note: different manufacturers may have the same number. Donaldson will display all
manufacturers for a competitive number imported.

Application Drilldown
There are two methods for obtaining a parts list by
application. The first is the Drilldown method.
You can find parts offered by clicking on the plus sign next to the manufacturer. Then click
next to the model/engine to display the parts for that equipment. If you need to create a list of
parts to export to Excel click the double-arrow in the middle of the page (see above) to send
them to a list on the right screen. (The single arrow > will move one item at a time to the list
while the double arrow >> will move all items.) You add or remove parts from the list by
using these arrows. When you have all the parts desired on the list, you can export it (see
above) to Excel for further work.
17
Application Lookup
The second is the Lookup method.
The Lookup method gives you the same results as the Drilldown method but here you enter
your search criteria. I.E. Make your equipment selection then choose the parts you want on
your list. In either method, when completed with your search you can export your list to Excel
for any additional presentation work as needed.
