Locomotor and Non Locomotor Movement (Study)

Locomotor movements involve traveling through space from one location to another using the feet or other body parts like the hands. They include walking, running, jumping, hopping, leaping, skipping, and galloping. Non-locomotor movements occur in the body parts or whole body without traveling, such as swinging, twisting, turning, shaking, bending, stretching, wiggling, rocking, and swaying. Locomotor movements have either even or uneven rhythms depending on the movement.
