Overview:
Visited the power plant site and followed the operation and maintenance
activities performed during the day.

Operation Activities:
The complex was running on baseload with a combination of 3+1.
 During the day, GT-1 was operating at baseload.
 GT-2 is operating at baseload.
 GT-3 is operating at baseload.

Performance Test:
Today, the performance test of complete power plant was carried out. The values
of different parameters involved were noted after every 5 minutes. The test was
continued in the morning for 2 hours. Performance test was also carried out in
the evening for 1.5 hours and same method was followed.

Maintenance Activities:
During the day, visited the plant site area and closely observed the maintenance
activities performed by different departments. The maintenance activities
attended are listed below:

HRSG-02 Control Valve:

From the de-superheating control valve of HP main steam line at HRSG-02,
leakage of water was observed by the operation department. It was reported to
the mechanical maintenance department. Mechanical maintenance department
attended the activity but due to HRSG-02 being in operation and high
temperature and high pressure at de-superheating control valve, the leakage
couldn’t be verified. The leakage of this control valve will be attended in the next
shutdown period of HRSG.

`Isolation Valve Leakage:

At water treatment plant, leakage was reported from the discharge line isolation
valve of HCL storage tank A. Mechanical maintenance department attended the
leakage and found a crack in the body of the valve from which chemical was
leaking. The valve was replaced by the mechanical maintenance team.

EDG:
The weekly test run of emergency diesel generator was carried out by the
operation department as part of the scheduled activity. During the test run, no
abnormality was observed and no leakage or seepage was observed and test run
was successful.
