 DAILY REPORT

Overview:
Visited the power plant site and followed the operation and maintenance
activities performed during the day.

Maintenance Activities:
Throughout the day following maintenance activities are witnessed in the plant
site area:

SF6 Gas Filling:

On GT-1, the pressure of SF6 gas in the gas circuit breaker 52G was increased by
filling the gas by electrical maintenance department. Before filling the gas, the
pressure of gas was observed at 690KPa, the pressure increased up to 735KPa.

Cooling Towers:
The cleaning of inside structure of cooling towers which include guardrails was
performed by mechanical maintenance department. The condition of guardrails
of almost all the cooling towers in very bad. During the cleaning process, some
pipes of guardrails were also found broken.

ST Lube Oil Purifier:

The filters used in portable lube oil purifier for purification of steam turbine lube
oil were replaced by mechanical maintenance department. The filters of this
portable purifier need to be replaced after every 2 days. Total 40 filters are placed
inside it.

WTP:
The conductivity analyzers of mix bed A and B which is in water treatment plant
were reported faulty. The faulty conductivity analyzers were replaced by new
ones by I&C department.

Flue Gas System:

The inspection activity of flue gas system instruments of all three HRSGs was
performed by I&C department.

Gas Turbine 125V DC Batteries:

As part of routine activities, the cleaning activity of 125V DC batteries of all three
gas turbines was performed by electrical maintenance department.

Thermography:
The Thermography of Mark Vie control system cabinets of all three gas turbines
was performed by I&C maintenance department. In thermography, the
temperature of control cabinets was measured by using an infrared camera. All
the cabinet temperatures were found in normal range.

ST Condenser Cleaning:
The cleaning activity of the condenser water box tubes is in progress in steam
turbine hall by mechanical maintenance department. The pressure of water is
adjusted at 200 bar for cleaning of tubes.

Faulty Lights:
In the power plant area, the issue of faulty lights was solved by electrical
maintenance department. New lights were installed.

HP Live Steam MOV:

Two days ago, after replacing the copper sleeve of HP live steam MOV of HRSG-3,
the valve was operated by motor but when MMD tried to operate it manually, the
MOV was found stuck. To rectify the problem, the valve actuator and motor were
dismantled. The inspection of inside view was carried out, during the inspection
the bearing of the valve was found completely damaged and broken. One of the
gear was also found in a bad condition and had a lot of scratches on it. The work
on this MOV is continued.
