HISTORY OF UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Introduction.

America was inhabited for more than a millennium by local American people. in the year

1607 Jamestown Virginia was colonized by England. England opened up doors for other settlers

who came from France, Spain and Netherlands and inhabited the northern America. England

which was unified to form the Great Britain subjected the local indigenous Americans to

taxation. these taxes were directed to development in the Great Britain these angered thirteen

colonies that wanted to be involved in voting and be allowed to offer opinion on the tax

expenditure, these led to war in 1775[ CITATION Bor17 \l 1033 ].

Colonization

April 19, 1775 Britain in an attempt to neutralize the war, they attempted to neutralize

Massachusetts militia which was posing a problem to their regime in the States. this attempt led

to a revolution against Britain occupation in Northern America. July 4, 1776 an independence

declaration was written by revolution frontiers who won, and declared Americans independent

from Britain a new country was formed, formulated a new constitution and implemented a bill of

rights I the year 1791. George Washington who was a frontier in the revolution war became the

first president.

19th century was marked by an increase in industrialization in the states these was as a

result of immense land obtained in the west. 1861 was marked by rebellion from certain states

who wanted to deviate from the united states and form their own confederate states of America

these led to American Civil war. At the end of the war their united states entered into a Gilded

age which was marked by rapid economic development (Grosfoguel, 2012

20th century saw united states being recognized as a super power these was as result their

participation in the 1st and 2nd world war where they played key role in the victories achieved

After world war 2 united state faced USSR in a cold war. this war included each individual

country providing support to its allies in war against the allies of the other country, this war was

fought in neutral grounds examples countries like Hungary Korea and Vietnam[ CITATION

Ban16 \l 1033 ]. Also, at this period united state economy entered into a depression as a result of

strikes and demonstration which were organized by those who felt oppressed by the government.

These led to a decrease in industrial production thus affecting the economy these happened in the

year 1970-1980[ CITATION Gro19 \l 1033 ].

Conclusion.

After the end of cold war United state was faced by terrorism attacks which were

propagated by terrorist from middle east. In sept 11 2001 there was a terrorist attack these led to

more attention being directed to the middle east. In 2009 Barrack Obama was elected as the first

black president in the united states his reign was marked with a lot of success example reduce in

terrorism an activity in the middle east, increased jobs, introduction of Obama health care and a

booming economy after Obama president Trump was elected in 2017 his reign has been marked

with a let of social crisis, economical and racial killings
