Job Description
Applications are invited to from suitably quali ed persons to ll the above-mentioned vacant post tenable at the NGO Board of Malawi
secretariat in Lilongwe.

POSITION: DATA MANAGER

Summary role

Reporting to the Director of Economic and Monitoring Services, the successful candidate will be required to perform the following duties
and functions:
 Support the development and upgrade of NGO database, Management Information Systems, website, and emails;

 Coordinating management of the NGO Public Documentation Centre

 Conduct mapping of NGOs;

 Establish and manage NGO database at all levels;

 Support the development of guidelines on the allocation/reallocation of NGOs at across the country;

 Provide and promote public access to NGO returns and database;

 Support local structure to maintain and usage of NGO database;

 Designing and updating computer based qualitative as well as quantitative data collection instruments;

 Conducting Surveys related to impact and contribution from NGO work;

 Perform statistical analysis and production of statistical bulletin;

 Data management and disseminating of Information.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

 A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences Statistics /Economics/Demography;

 Must be at least 25 years above and able to work independently with little or minimum supervision

 Must be computer literate with excellent analytical and communication skills

 Those with 5-year experience in NGO work will have an added advantage
