NICO Life Insurance Company Limited is a leading life insurance services provider in Malawi. providing both Group and Individual Life
policies.

NICO Life, an Equal Opportunity Employer, has a vacancy for an Actuarial Specialist, tenable at their Head O ce in Blantyre. The
successful candidate, who will be responsible for providing actuarial and business support to the company, will undergo a training and
development programme which will lead to a progressive career in this eld.

Position: Actuarial Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

The incumbent’s key areas of responsibility shall, amongst others, include:

 Valuation and reporting

 Experience monitoring

 Actuarial risk control

 Capital management

 Product management

 Collaboration — Training, development, and mentorship of in-country actuarial environments

Required Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:

 Strong interpersonal skills to e ectively interact and collaborate with Management and functional sta at all levels

 A self-starter and self-motivated individual, takes initiative and ownership to bring tasks to completion

 Results driven

 Analytical logical thinker with good problem-solving skills

 Ability to work on a wide range of deliverables at the same time

 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

 Good communication skills

 Flexible

 Pragmatic

 Good Ms O ce skills (Word, Excel. Power Point. and Access)

 Previous modelling experience or exposure to Prophet preferable

Quali cations and Experience:

 A rst relevant degree from reputable and recognized university

 A good understanding of life insurance and pension administration businesses
