A. Answer the questions below. Use the examples as models of the grammar and
vocabulary you have to use.

1. Why didn’t you study English before? (List at least 5 reasons in a

composition.)

Example:

One of the reasons why I didn’t study English before it is because I thought it
was too difficult. I didn’t understand my English teacher at school and that
was frustrating.

1. I did not study English before because I worked on a schedule that did
not have time.
2. I did not study English before because it is very difficult for me at
school and I did not continue studying it afterwards.
3. I did not study English because I did not have enough money to pay
for my studies, when I was little I did not have money.
4. I did not study English before because I did not think it would be
useful to me in the future.

libraries and much less the internet at that time, we only learned what
the school teacher taught us.

2. How different would things be if you had learned English before? (Name and
explain at least 5 things.)

Example:

If I had learned English some years ago I would have accepted a job a
multinational company offered me five years ago. One of the requirements
was to speak English and my level back then was very low.

many multinational companies.
2. If I had learned to speak English, I would like to teach low-income
students who do not have access to learn this language.
3. If I had learned to speak English I would be studied in the United
Kingdom or the United States where education is much better.
