Evidence: The time is now

This evidence is divided into two parts: A composition and an audio file. Read the
instructions below and make sure you complete both tasks.

A. Answer the questions below. Use the examples as models of the grammar and
vocabulary you have to use.

1. Why didn’t you study English before? (List at least 5 reasons in a

composition.)

Example:

One of the reasons why I didn’t study English before it is because I thought it
was too difficult. I didn’t understand my English teacher at school and that
was frustrating.
 The first reason why I hadn’t studied English, it’s because in my School the level of
the English was very bad, I had never a good base.

The second reason was because, I wasn’t a good student with language.

The third reason, I didn’t feel sureness when I talk English.

The fourth Reason, I didn’t feel passion for the English as now

The fifth reason, I was studying Chemical and I didn’t have time in the week and the
weekend I wanted to sleep and to rest.

2. How different would things be if you had learned English before? (Name and
explain at least 5 things.)

Example:

If I had learned English some years ago I would have accepted a job a
multinational company offered me five years ago. One of the requirements
was to speak English and my level back then was very low.

If I had learned English when I was a child, I would have had better opportunities.

If I had learned English before, I would have traveled abroad.

If I had learned English in my school, I would have written many science articles.

If I had learned English years ago, I wouldn’t have had many problems to talk when I
traveled.

If I had a learned English before, I would have been the best student in my master
degree.
B. Record an audio file of yourself answering the following questions. Use the
examples as models of the grammar and vocabulary you have to use.

1. Why are you studying English? (List and explain at least 4 reasons.)

Example:

I’m studying English because I finally decided that if I want to improve my

professional profile becoming bilingual is essential.

1- I’m studying English because I want to improve my speaking skills.

2- I am studying English right now because who doesn't know English
nowadays won't be able to get a good job.
3- I’m studying English Because English becomes interesting when you
study it with love and patience.
4- I’m studying English because now I have someone that helps me to
understand it.

2. In what ways are you going to benefit from this learning?

Example:

Being competent in English is going to increase the opportunities of landing a more

satisfying and better-paid job. We live in an international open market and English
is the most important language.

I am going to benefit with:

1- Memory improvement, because I don’t remember easily the English word
2- Improve listening skills, with the media and tasks.
3- Better employment opportunities, because who talks English has more
opportunities.
4- Increases travel opportunities, because traveling will improve more my
English.
