Uses:
We cannot do a literal translation of the
present perfect, but we can fall into
misunderstandings. The best thing is that, as
far as possible, you remember that the uses of
the present perfect in English may be
different:
• Action that began in a past time but in
current progression: I have lived in Barcelona
since 1981. (It is understood that you still live
there)
• Past repeated action but that may be current: We have visited Barcelona few times.
