One of the current issues in the Philippines is corruptions.

One of the
examples of corruption is government corruption or political
corruption. Political corruption in Philippines is really big. Philhealth
corruption is the newest corruption in the Philippines. This philhealth
corruption leaked during the covid pandemic.

Based on the website that I read PhilHealth has been wracked by fraud
for many years. The Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission disclosed
that the anomalies committed in the Philippine Health Insurance Corp.
were “the worst” because its weekly fund releases that amount to as
much as P3 billion “were exposed to corruption.” Belgica said some P2
billion to P3 billion in weekly PhilHealth releases were exposed to
corruption because the agency’s information technology system has no
validation mechanism.

This corruption the released last September is still not resolve. This
issue is still fresh in the Filipinos. A lot of Filipinos are complaining
because they give the right amount of money for their philhealth but
senadors who manage the philhealth corrupting the money that
Filipinos gave.
