Job Summary:
Kana Pipeline, Inc., an equal opportunity employer, is seeking a qualified Project
Coordinator responsible for managing multi-million dollars in contracts, meeting monthly
deadlines, administering accurate project-related information into the construction
database, and maintaining healthy business relationships and communication lines with
both the internal and external Customers in a fast-paced atmosphere.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business or Construction Management from four-year
accredited college or university; or
3 + years of related experience in construction -a plus
-Or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
Knowledge and proficiency in MS Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook
10-Key proficiency
Typing 45+ WPM
Accounting experiences a plus!
Bilingual – Spanish, a plus, but not required

informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar.
Quality Conscious - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to
improve and promote quality; feedback to improve performance

Good Mathematical skills – must have good understanding of percentages for
billing purposes; ability to match client change orders to extra work and confirm
revised contract dollar amounts

Takes Initiative and is Flexible – have the ability to look at a process and find
ways to improve it; embody a positive mental attitude, which says “If I don’t know
it, I will learn it!”

Teamwork Oriented- Balances team and individual responsibilities; contributes to
building a positive team spirit; good interpersonal skills and positive attitude.

Employment Description for Project Coordinator
Duties and Responsibilities
Preparatory work:
Prepares contracts upon receipt for distribution and approval by President.
Procures necessary insurance documents necessary per contract requirements
Files Preliminary information
Prepares Underground Service Alerts at least 2 days prior to job start
Files OSHA Notifications
Prepares Thomas Guide maps to jobsite locations
Prepares for monthly billings to clients and works with Project Management/
General Superintendents to communicate Monthly billing to clients
Provides Warranty/Guarantee letters to clients per contract requirements
Assist field crew to prepare As-Builts for close-out documentation to clients
Communication
Respectful and polite towards fellow employees, clients, etc.
Works with Estimating, Purchasing, Accounting and Mechanical Department to
provide and/or collect information necessary for job operations as well as in
preparation during Pre-job, Interim, and Post-Mortem project analysis meetings.
Verbal and/or written communication with field personnel when receiving written
authorizations
