I am an enthusiastic and well motivated individual with good basic skills and previous
experience in warehouse working environments. I left school in the summer of 2019 and
shortly after I was successful in my search for an apprenticeship. In October 2019 I
began working at J Murphy & Sons in Crossgreen, Leeds where I worked for six months
before my apprenticeship was unfortunately terminated in March. This was due to a
combination of personal issues and the current Covid 19 situation. I’d been struggling
with issues which are behind me now but I was unfortunately unable to put them behind
me before the apprenticeship ended. Whilst I was there I gained knowledge of working
in important and coordinated teams to deliver on a key task or jobs assigned to them. I
also learned how to use a variety of basic tools and tools such as angle grinders and
metal cutting and bevelling machines.
I also worked as a sorter at Royal Mail during the Christmas period of 2020 on night
shifts. Though short it gave me a taste of a different, more busy environment where
working to deadlines and following strict instructions was key. Night shifts also provided
a higher sense of urgency than the day shifts due to the need to have all the mail ready
for the morning so that the drivers could take it out.

I am currently looking for a job where I am able to practice at least a few of the skills I
acquired whilst working as a welding apprentice. I am able to work well in teams and
follow instructions provided by my superiors. I am also willing to engage in roles outside
of my job description if necessary in order to learn more skills and gain more
experience. I am hard working, efficient and capable and always on the lookout for new
challenges.
I am willing and ready to speak over the phone about any potential questions that may
arise from this CV.

Hobbies/Interests
I have a keen interest in music and music production but it is nothing more than a side
hobby. I also am keenly interested in learning technical skills and watching the process
that occurs in workplaces i.e. construction. I am most comfortable in a warehouse

abilities to work things out.
