Unit 2. Topic: Describe a city you have visited

I’m going to tell you about a memorable trip that I made and it was to Danang in

Vietnam. It’s a coastal city in the central of Vietnam. It is an one-hour flight from Hanoi.

Danang has acquired a reputation for its cuisine, its people and its beaches. For example,

one of them is My Khe, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. So every

year, a thousand of visitors flock to this area to admire the beauty of the beaches.

I went to Danang when I was a first year student in the university. And it was the time I

was preparing for the final test. I was up to the ears with revision. It was a really nerve-

recking time for me. Needless to say, I want to let my hair down and that’s why I went to

Danang.

So in Danang I did a lot of things. First of all, I did some sightseeing in the mountains. I

had a breathtaking view of the city below. And of course, I snapped some photos and

posted them on my facebook. My friends were very jealous of me. Then, I went in for a

dip. The water was so crystal clear. Lastly, I tried the local cuisine. The seafood here was
very fresh and cheap. The price was also quite reasonable. Therefore, I bought a lot for

my family and my friends.

The reason why I love Danang is because I had an absolute blast. In the future, I will

definitely return there.
