Mature In Christ

When my mother died far back in 2016, many people, rather than see me grieve, saw me rejoice
much with such unfeigned peace and faith that was rather uncommon for a lad of 22. I never really
knew my father because he had separated with my mother who was left to cater for me with these
parting words, "when the boy grows into something, he will be persuaded to see his father" with
those words I understood what it meant not to be wanted by the one who brought you into the
world. Growing up hadn't been so easy especially when people tend to conclude your future just
because of your present, I remembered how a certain man whom I respected to the core chastise his
daughter just because we stood talking, and at the end still sent me on errands. This was just one of
the few cases. I remember what it felt like to wake at nights rushing my mother to hospitals and
while others were closing service to go home, I was closing to go pass the night in the hospital ward
or waiting room, sometimes under the freezing night air and hustle the next day to buy wayside
meals and still come back for evening services, full of joy. Now this joy it would be foolish of me to lay
originality to when I know it was the Lord's. Despite all these fun times I experienced some of the
harshest persecutions and tribulations believable. Now I was not subject to escapades as Elijah before
Jezebel nor Paul being lowered off a city but notwithstanding Richard faced some of the bitterest
psychological and emotional trials unreasonable to logic that when a sympathizer came, she sighed
with these words "...and anyone who sees you would never suspect" hardly did I realized that the
Lord took seriously some of my casual words, that I made a pact never to let stress show on my face
so long as am the Lord's servant. If you sought out for another kind of maturity other than that which
I have to explain then am sorry you have wasted quite a sum in purchasing this book.

All through the Bible it is evident that God's ways are contrary to ours. True maturity is embedded in the spirit of
humility. humility cannot be hidden because it is a fruit of the spirit for when it says... But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance..it goes without saying that God seeks
after a broken and contrite heart for even our Lord, the greatest of all who had all rights to be the grandest of all, is the
meekest of all when he washed his servants feet saying "come unto me, all  ye  that labour and are heavy  laden, and I
will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest
unto your souls.  For my yoke  is  easy, and my burden is light." How true when he said, "it is finished" when it was
written of him that he came to do the will of the Father. For in Christ the Father has shown himself to be the originator
of humility. Tempting it is to say, "did I buy a book on humility"? Rather brethren, you bought a book on the maturity in
Christ. The finest of men and greatest of evangelists, even those recorded as God's Generals have one thing in common,
in the simplest of terms being the simplest in spirit. Who ever will be useful to God will be broken and every one leaving
brokenness will be spat out for a seed to bear greatly it must due first..but if it dies and grows but still bears no fruit shall
be cut off. Miracles is no criteria for maturity for even Satan is about to anoint the Antichrist. But maturity is rooted in
this engraved immortal words...by their fruits ye shall know them. That which sustained me all through was constant
fellowship. Now I lay on you no traditions but the word, "constant fellowship" because this is the beginning and end of
our walk with God. In it is prayer. In it is meditation, in it is obedience, in it is love, in it is direction. I would lie if I told
you that I didn't know that my mother would sleep, verily the Lord has shown me that six years earlier, and two months
prior to the date, now while I mourned, my constant fellowship never dwindled for in it God spoke again saying "I am
with you"

For it was no pleasant experience to see your enemies pay condolences to you, enemies forged not out of your own
offending, but out of envy, bringing to mind the agony of our saviour when the religious men scoffed at him. There really

was no torture as humiliating as having your self thrown at the pity of your adversaries and see the flint of joy in their
eyes as their feigned words of pity betray them. But in all this God is good for a man looks not at the moment with God
but of the end for truly, the end justifies the means. Had it not been Potipher who threw Joseph into Prison his wife
would had have no shame to watch her husband call him Liege and how can they cry out to whom they pierced if they
had never pierced the Lord at his final coming? Surely God's ways are higher than ours but despite all disappointments,
all things works for our good, in this, David encouraged himself in the Lord. But with splendour and glory one would
think it impossible for a king to be persecuted, yet his bosom friend joined the bandwagon making him lament "For  it
was  not an enemy  that reproached me; then I could have borne  it: neither  was it  he hated me  that  did
magnify  himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him: But  it was  thou, a man mine equal, my guide,
and mine acquaintance.  We took  sweet  counsel together,  and  walked unto the house of God in company." And he,
majestic in his chariot as he fled from the sword of his own household, even Absalom his own creation, bringing this
glorious king to his knees crying, "  LORD, how are they  increased  that trouble me! many  are  they that rise up against
me.  Many  there be  which say of my soul,  There is  no help for him in God."

THE SECRET THINGS BELONG UNTO THE LORD OUR GOD

Secrecy comes with maturity, our dear Father will not trust a secret to a blabber for our Lord was never a blabber. It is
quite prerequisite that the tongue be in check for though the Lord never thrives in secrecy, yet there are some news he
would rather we pray about than disclose, and then again, there are those we just do not understand and are highly
tendenced to utter wrongly, so wise it would be to enquire whether to speak, or pray. Many times I have had a dream,
half vision or a complete knowledge about a person and many times I have been told to be quiet only for me to wonder
why and at the end realise that I would have spoken foolishly if I had spoken. But then, no man trusts a bladder for a
confidant. God will not look twice at one who seeks importance by revealing every word to the point they test not
whence the vision cometh from. This you must understand, that reputation is not a thing to seek, for many who sought
it strive to retain it and in such, enter many tribulations whence they sin to cover a sin. Reputation naturally proceed
from your character, for if a man keeps silent in three meetings, he is reputed to be a quiet person, and if another has
the habit of making jokes at people in the meeting he is reputed to be a jester. But reputation does not come from
publicized persona but from habits and behaviors which are little foxes but spoils the whole vine, but to us our
reputation is not only of Christ but is Christ himself in that our spirit merges with his Holy Spirit which modifies our little
habit bringing us an excellent behavior and thus, not by our sowing or pruning but by our fruits ye shall shall know us,
fascinating as it is, it is those same fruits some utter “judge not” at. Never for once have I said such words for it is written
amidst the scriptures of Grace, “For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. And so true is it for whilst we
frolick away in misquoted scriptures God’s record about us is being written. But for the believer whose reputation is of
Christ and is Christ, he has not a thing to fret about seeing that since his reputation came not from man, it can never be
taken by man, so even when Caiaphas and the Pharisees lie and blasphemed against the Christ, Christ the same it is
whom they will cry out to at his final coming. We work not on our reputation seeking men’sapproval, we are led in
obedience by the Spirit to strengthen God’s commission. For it is the Spirit that worketh in us both to will and to do
according to His pleasure. For it is written, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. In truth,
it is in the receiving of him that produces the leading bringing about the working and not just the words for if we must
be certified by God, then we ought to see the crime in hearing and not doing for Christ is both a hearer and a doer “Then
answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he
seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.” Thus this is a commission to
they who are Christ like “Let your light so shine before men, that  they may  see your good works, and glorify
your  Father  which  is  in heaven.” So rather than seek glory, the Spirit stirs in us only that which according to the Divine
Will, pleases the Father who on turn gives the vessel glory increasing as he decreases. There is no maturity without
humility.

Breaking to the edge 67  Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68  Then Simon Peter answered him,
Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternallife. Jn 6:67, 68

Mat 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup
pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Obedience in servitude *[[Joh 8:31]] KJV* Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my
word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

Should we continue in his words are we truly his disciples. This word so true yet so difficult because it takes the average
man not long in ministry for him to continue in his own way contrary to the dictates of the Lord. Can we truly blame
Christ at the end when he tells us begone from me ye worker of iniquity? Maturity or mastery can only be attained when
the regulations are met. And to be in Christ there are regulations little wonder Christ spoke in Joh 14:23, 24 Jesus
answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come
unto him, and make our abode with him. Joh 14:23-24 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep
my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that truly loveth to
a thing is to be a slave to it. I once preached to an Alcoholic who was prepared to give up his family, have his wife
thrown out due to lack in paying rent and his kids go begging on the street when he eventually dies if it means him giving
up the spirit bottle. Here was a man who is truly obedient to his master in that its dictates he must obey. Such devotion
is what made the scriptures. Coming to the true obedience of God is to be Christ like: loving yet unattached for was it
not written, he did not commit himself to them for he knew them? Here is our Lord shown in the scripture being in the
form of God yet left that form for it was written, the word was God, and took upon himself rather the form of a servant
and thus making him the perfect model of servitude and obedience. God will never be without loyalty for even the Son is
a servant by obedience how much less we whom have been treated with kids glove? Was Christ ever without miracles?
Still through obedience, he had the credit, this is my beloved son with whom I am well pleased. Was Abraham ever
known to wrought miracles? Yet he has the he pleased God. In what manner did Enoch show his faith, seeing that he
never laid hands on the sick? Verily, to God, obedience exceeds sacrifice for in obedience thine faith is directed but in
sacrifices thou might put the Lord to test. I have seen that it is the miracles and fame that makes one prune to the flesh
for when one seek for recognition, he makes himself a debtor. How can one be a son of God If they are not led? How can
they be led if they do not obey? For truly the Lord is a Spirit and they that must worship him must do so in spirit and in
truth.

Christ came not as God though he was but rather to show us a more excellent relationship with God. Taking up on
himself the title, Son, he became a better prophet than the greatest for not is he coming with a word of judgement but
with a means of fellowship as the Father had willed it for there isn't in Christ a single thing that isn't the will of God.
Brethren, I ask, if Christ had not been of a better breed there wouldn't be an excellent sacrifice. For when Mary said I
knew no man she wasn't categorized with those who have seeds inseminated in them though they still be virgin. The
seed of the one is never to be compared with the seed that is Christ, for in the other is the knowledge of man though it
be not carnal but the difference is as futile as an alcoholic who never sips but injects it into his veins. But in Christ, never
growing from a sperm as all beings even the Antichrist are, is the fullness of God for it was informed by Gabriel the angel
that Christ is the combination of the holy ghost and power of God, for it is written   And the angel answered and said
unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also
that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. So while men are formed through liquid,

Christ was formed through power and Spirit. Yet in all this, having knowledge of all things even before they happen,
stuck to the arrangement between he and God to both die for salvation and create a relationship and how readily these
scripture corresponds to it, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me. So we see how Christ being the Father himself had to take upon himself the form of a servant for a son is
never compared with his father but must serve in obedience, thus it never was for their sake but for yours that in the
beginning the word was with God and was God, but now has tabernacled with us and no longer an entity with God but
now an individual so it is necessary that he became the son seeing that he is the one coming, for a messenger is never
greater than he that sent him, but even such pavings for a more intimate relationship with God as he wills it, many still
found fault with Christ the Son, how much more would it had been if it were Christ the God? In Christ is our relationship
of father and son, but in the Law is the relationship of sinner and judge. But if Christ be complete then we are complete
in him for his completion was for us seeing that as God there was no further completing but coming as man, he needed
completion in that the flesh is weak but having gone through completion by the baptism of death and resurrecting, as he
is so are we in this world only through this shall sin be weak in its dominion over you for we are under grace and not the
law where the service is between sinner and judge but a relationship in Christ and never of our works wherein we cry
Abba father through the spirit in us, the same of which forming Christ in the womb, and able to raise our mortal bodies
as it raised Christ again from the dead. With this foreknowledge sin is an impossibility for we have something better than
whatever the greatest of temptations can offer.

As I was left with nothing but memory I realised the futility of life for a home is not a house but a
family because a family makes the home and not mere experiences, for family create experience. You
never realize how much a person is a part of your life until they are gone, then you remember the
experiences and they either haunt you or please you. Truly yesterday is always gone but tomorrow
can be seen with much patience so dwelling in yesterday is only torturing yourself for God expect we
all to move farther from Sinai immediately the cloud starts moving. Having seen this the Lord calls us
spiritual men for hath he not said, That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of
the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth
where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and
whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. To be born again means to have life and
perspective again, why we mourn not as the heathens is because we through the Spirit of Comfort see
that there is a difference between the shell and the spirit, and we come to see truly that it surely is a
transition where the shell exceeds its usefulness having come to the end of it, a better frame is given
that never fades. When others see the lights put out we see a light placed at a larger flame, though
some of us will never see death, but the Christian never experiences death for there are no such
provisions for him in the Bible but a slumber to be awoken when all is passed. I dare say at this, I do
not know for it is God who decides who is to sleep and who is to be without a body yet. But at death
for the believer is an instant, the twinkling of an eye from this mundane to eternity and God is seen
with no thought of the transformation itself. They who lie only do so because we see them but at this
minute but they are already awake on the last day while we experience the slowness of time, for it is
as the sleeping at night to the waking of the morning, the idea of how long the sleeper knowerh not
save that he closed his eyes at dusk and opened them to see the sun. The sleeper keepth no record of
the time slept only that seconds ago he shut his eyes and now it is day break. For this as spiritual men
we mourn not for we see them blessed with that which we aspire. Heaven is a reward and they had
theirs early, the same heaven of which even the most hardened of all criminals hope for.

Mind you it is the same who said not my will though he had all undebatable authority to, the same it was that said in
your hands u commit my spirit. Obviously there was no hate nor grudge in his heart due to the abandonment of the
father, all the more, the beauty of him for it is written, being in the firm of God took not the title of God, but learnt
obedience through the cross. It is of utmost nessesity that Christ himself be broken even when he needed no need for it,
how much less we, for the sake if fulfilling all righteousness.
