“BESZY DREAMS “
Background (Business Concept)
Beszy Dreams is a 40-year-old, sole proprietorship company that produces plush animals, dolls,
and pillows. The company aims to have its stuffed toys embraced in the arms of young children,
providing comfort and security. Thus, the business continues to produce smooth, soft, and safe-to-touch
stuffed toys. Hence, Beszy Dream's products are finely stitched in soothing colors such as soft blue, pink
white, beige, light green, and others. This market segment has been effectively developed by the firm so
far. The firm has prospered thus far, despite the economic ups and downs that the country has seen in the
past.
Beszy Dreams has no less than 95 sewers, including designers, cutters, handcrafters who are paid
piece by piece, the others are paid weekly or monthly. The store sells its stuffed animals through its
specialized boutiques, which are located in some of the country's most exclusive shopping malls. Its peak
season is around Christmas and Valentine's Day when it generates a lot of sales. Despite the popularity of
their stuffed animals during birthdays and given the seasonality of the items, maintaining 12 outlets has
proven difficult for Beszy Dreams. During lean months, monetary obligations such as rental payments,
utilities, and salary wages have become a burden to the company.
