Module 2: Learning Activity 2

Answer the following.
● What types of internet services are you using?

Fiber Optic Internet (PLDTHOMEFIBR)

● Describe your internet service provider.

What is referred to as "fiber-optic internet" in my own explanation of my internet

service provider It's a high-speed internet connection with little latency that can reach 940
Megabits per second (Mbps). Furthermore, fiber-optic cables are less vulnerable to harsh
weather than conventional cables, resulting in fewer disruptions. It is also capable of
efficiently resisting electrical interference. Small glass fiber are used in fibre optic cables to
transfer data using light pulses. Light flows via fibre cables in the same way that electricity
does through copper wires, but fibre cables have the benefit of being able to transport many
messages at once. Due to the way fiber-optic cables transport light through glass rather than
energy via metal, they can transmit data significantly quicker than conventional choices.
Faster internet speeds aren't the sole advantage of fibre internet. Fiber internet is also more
reliable than other choices due to the nature of the cables, which are less susceptible to
strong storms or weather conditions, so as long as your electricity is on, so will your internet
connection. Within a plastic casing, a fiber-optic cable can contain anything from a few to
hundreds of optical fiber. They carry data messages in the form of light and move hundreds
of miles quicker than typical electrical cables. They are also known as optic cables or optical
fibre cables. Furthermore, because fiber-optic cables are non-metallic, they are not affected
by electromagnetic interference (e.g., weather), which can slow down transmission speeds.
Fiber cables are also safer because they don't transport electricity and hence can't cause a
spark.

● How do you subscribe to your internet connection?

To begin, I'll need to switch on my own laptop and smartphone. Then I'll check my
PLDTHOMEFIBR to verify if I'm still connected and whether my connection is reliable. So I've
established a regular pattern in my life and I am ready to sign up for an internet connection.
Because the internet connection allows me to do a variety of things, such as keep track of
social network information that I haven't yet acquired and perform some essential internet
related activities, such as the Google Classroom stream, Google Meet, and some related
educational purposes that are beyond my control. Because I rely on my capacity to interact
with others, my internet connection is superior. Something reminds me to keep up with
current events all across the world.

Expanding fast internet connections has more been more essential and as computers
and smartphones get more sophisticated and demand more memory and data, my internet
connection must become quicker and stronger merely to stay up with the technology. I can
devote more time to other things by doing stuff on the internet. Being productive with online
results and being speedier allows me to be more efficient.
