Data base The number of signals that can be defined in the data base
depends on the number of protocols and can be calculated in
the following way:
No of signals = 50’000 / no of protocols
Project-specific functions Set of calculation elements for signal conversion and limited
type conversion.
Miscellaneous functions Time synchronisation of devices connected to the station bus
Time formats supported:
- DCF from computer clock
- DCF from Meienberg clock
- GPS from computer clock
- GPS from Meienberg clock

Table 11: Power supply module 500PSM03

Input voltage 36 VDC…312 VDC
max 145 W at full load and an input voltage of 48 V
Output ratings max 100 W
Uo1 = 5.1 V +3% @ Io1 = [0 … 16] A
Uo2 = 12 V +5%, -3% @ Io2 = [0 … 3] A
Uo3 = -12 V +5%, -3% @ Io3 = [0…0.5] A
Uo4 = 3.3 V +3% @ Io4 = [0… 8] A

Uninterrupted power in case of input power loss is maintained during a mini-

mal time of 70 ms (at 100 W output power and Ui = 36 V). During the first
50 ms no VME-Bus signals are generated. After 50 ms the ACFAIL* signal is
generated and all output voltages remain within specified limits for at least
20 ms.
Design Auxiliary supply for rack
Redundant configuration
Signalling over contacts: warning, fail
- fail = input voltage off or not within the range of tolerance
- warning = power supply is overloaded
