of this existing infrastructure for generating
safe AC power. Therefore AC loads can be fed
also during mains power loss.

with the same phase polarity.

The online operation mode is recommended, because of the better quality of the output AC voltage (no
voltage deviations and spikes). If the reduction of system’s power consumption is the main target besides the
safe AC feeding, the offline mode should be used.

Inverter System IS920 Modular design
The subrack combines prewired slots for 3 inverters of series WR92 and 1
static transfer switch STS92. The connection to the incoming and outgoing
cables and between the modules are made on a backplane.
The power modules are cooled by internal fans. The fans are speed controlled
and monitored. The air flow direction is from the front to the rear side.
A minimum space of 50 mm between the air outlets of the modules and the
rear panel of the cabinet is needed. Therefore the installation within standard
ETSI cabinets with a depth of 400 mm is possible.

Connection Unit IS920 Connection unit with Manual Bypass Switch
The connection unit with 3 HUs houses up to four loads. The connection of
loads needs few time and effort the terminals being accessible from the front.
The connection unit includes a manual bypass switch. It allows switching off the
subrack IS920 from AC voltage for maintenance work. During this time the load
is supplied with voltage directly from mains, such ensuring the uninterrupted
supply of AC consumers.

Inverter Unit WR92 WR92 with digital control
The inverter WR92 includes the newest switching
technology with controlling by digital signal
processor.
The inverter is able to run in parallel operation
without any additional components and increases
the reliability of the AC system.
WR92 modules can be integrated in empty slots
of a system during normal operation (hot plug-in).
For higher reliability the synchronisation bus is
working in a redundant mode.
Up to 3 modules together with a static transfer
switch unit can be installed in a 19” subrack with 2
HU.

Static Transfer Switch STS92 Highest reliability
The static transfer switch STS92 is a compact electronic
switch. The digital regulation guarantees minimized synchro-
nisation time of inverter and mains frequency. Due to this
high synchronisation speed the unit can be used together
with diesel Genset as transfer mains supply.
The transfer time between the two inputs is less than 4 msec.
Therefore the STS92 is suitable for use in IT environment.
The static transfer switch monitors the voltage level, fre-
quency and the synchronisation of both incoming sources. In
combination with the inverter WR92 the unit can operate in
online- or offline-mode. This function is programmable at site.
All main functional parameters and measuring values will be
displayed on the LCD panel.
