Perspective based on actual leadership experiences:
Tools of Leadership: Communication skills Wisdom Credibility Analytical Thinking A leader needs communication skills to "communicate" his/her thoughts to the people he/she intends to lead. More importantly, the leader’s thoughts must be understood by the people who will be lead so that they may be able to follow instructions properly. A Leader must be able to make his followers understand the "wisdom or rationality" of the action to be undertaken which must always reflect the good intention of what needs to be done or implemented. A Leader’s credibility is reflected in his "track record" of accomplishments. If a leader asks his/her subordinates to do something… the leader must be able to show them that he/she can do what he/she asks them to do. This particular tool eliminates the doubts and tendency to question on the part of the subordinates. A Leader’s intended direction will always be full of obstacles and challenges. This is the reason why a Leader should be a good "analyzer"… he must always think of solutions to possible problems even before they happen. In this way, the Leader is always one step ahead of all possible adversities.
