Delegation of Powers by the Public Service Commission in terms of Article 56(1) of the Constitution
01. The Schedule “B” published in the Gazette Extraordinary No. 1989/29 dated 19.10.2016 wherein the powers
were delegated to the Education Service Committee by the Public Service Commission in terms of the provisions
in Article 56(1) of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka is hereby amended with
effect from 20.10.2016 after having incorporated following provisions into the provisions governing the
delegation of powers set out in such Schedule.
02. Other matters in the Gazette Extraordinary No. 1989/29 dated 19.10.2016 wherein the powers were delegated
by the Public Service Commission shall remain unchanged.

II. Tertiary level Supra Grade/Special Grade Officers as II. All transfers including annual transfers
defined in Public Administration Circular No. 06/2006 according to the scheme approved by
(Annexure II), the Public Service Commission

the Department of Educational Publications. officers in the Second Schedule in
Chapter XLVIII of the Establishment
Code.
9. All officers under the Ministry of the Minister in charge Granting concessions on Efficiency Bar
of the subjcet of Education and the Department of Examinations.
