All the public transport in Oslo and the


surrounding county Akershus is part of the
same ticket and price system, operated by
Ruter.

Ruter's tickets are valid for:


• buses,
• trams,
• subways,
• ferries (not the Bygdøy ferry),
• local trains.
Ruter is the name of the public transport system
in Oslo and the surrounding county, Akershus.

Ticket:
• can be purchased from any of Ruter's sales
points,
• costs NOK 20/40 extra if you want to buy it
on board.
OSLO FERRIES
• boats can take you to the islands of the
inner Oslo Fjord
• all Ruter tickets are valid on the ferries
• tickets are not sold on the islands
• in summer the ferries operate from early
morning until night
• in winter there are only 7-8 departures
per day

The metro has similar timings for


weekdays and weekends.
On weekdays, the first train leaves the
station at around 05:30 am and the
network runs till 01:00 am, the next day.
On weekends the metro opens at
around 06:00-06:30 am.
